Penny Black “Mindy”

Have you met Mindy? She’s Mimi’s sister and a relatively new addition to the Penny Black family.  I wanted to practice my Copic coloring, so I stamped and heat embossed the adorable Mindy image. And I couldn’t resist getting the Mimi at Play set just for the “Sending Hugs” sentiment that seemed like a perfect fit.

  1. Love your card! You said you heat embossed and then colored with Copics. Did you use clear embossing powder? Generally Copics dissolve black or gold embossing powder. I was just wondering if there was something new out there! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Nancy! I did use clear embossing powder. I try also to be very careful and “stay within the lines” when I color. I have noticed that the lightest colors sometimes pick up the black – especially with the flesh tones on the face, so that’s where I’m most careful. I just really like the crispness that the heat embossed Versafine gives.
