Penny Black Leap of Joy

Today, I’m sharing a winter holiday card created with recently released Penny Black stamps and dies. For this card, the gold foil deer, cut with the 51-062 Leap of Joy die, takes center stage.

SeasonsGreetingsTo begin, I stamped the card base in a matching ink with the 40-350 Tree-Lined stamp for a tone-on-tone background. (I’ll be reaching for this background stamp again and again for holiday cards.) I cut white cardstock with the
51-057 Polaroid die, onto which I heat embossed the “Seasons Greetings” sentiment, from the 30-255 Most Wonderful set, with gold embossing powder. I added some vellum behind the Polaroid frame onto which I attached the die-cut deer with dimensional adhesive. I debated with my son and husband about the gold cord. As minimalists, they both vetoed the cord, whereas I decided a little extra bling couldn’t hurt.
