Hello! Welcome to Day Three of the Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks. Both of my projects today are focused on graduation! Products from this release will be in the store tomorrow – Thursday, April 6 @ 7 AM PST!
Do you have someone graduating on your card list?
I used Block Party – Grad to create a die-cut Congratulations card for a graduate. The Little Bits – Grad Confetti (cut from silver cardstock) add shape and color to the card. I die-cut Block Party – Grad and Eventful – Graduation Border at the same time (I simply left a gap between the two). This card could easily be customized with the graduate’s school colors!
Supplies (items in bold will be released April 6):
My second project is also graduation-themed and showcases a sentiment from the Wonderful World stamp set.
I stamped the Wonderful World sentiment (isn’t this a great font combination?!) on the card base and then dry-embossed it using the Cloudy Days folder with a diffuser (so that only a portion would be dry-embossed). I added hot air balloons created with the Sky High – Hot Air Balloons set, which I felt fit the theme.

Your design skills make all these products look sooooo good!
What is a diffuser that you used to get only a portion of the dry embossed clouds? I had to smile wen I discovered that the cards I want to copy are mostly yours! 😉
Hi Marlene, thanks for your kind words. The diffuser set is this one: http://www.sizzix.com/657945/sizzix-accessory-embossing-diffuser-3pk-set-1
I used the circle.
Oooo – just love that grad card – great mix of dies, Jean! The balloon card is so fun too!!
