Merry Monday Christmas Challenge 264 – Kraft and Red

Hello! Today, I am sharing a holiday card created for this week’s Merry Monday Christmas Challenge to use Kraft and Red. This happens to be one of my favorite holiday color combinations.

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #264

I created a card featuring two Memory Box poinsettia die sets – Small Blooming Poinsettia and Blooming Poinsettia. I connected the blooms with a die-cut sprig (it is cut in two underneath the large poinsettia), which was cut with the Memory Box Holiday Vine die from gold foil cardstock. I used Memory Box green paper for the leaves (no longer available) and Stampin’ Up Real Red for the poinsettias. The gold, heat-embossed sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up Embellished Ornaments set. After I had everything adhered, I took a look and felt  the card looked a little blank. If I were a braver person, I might have sprinkled on Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine Spray in a few places! Fearing that would cause a mess, I added Neat and Tangled sequins. This particular mix includes three different sequin sizes.

One of the things I particularly like about these challenges is that it provides an opportunity to revisit supplies I already own! These Memory Box dies are several years old.

  1. I can see why this is a favourite Christmas colour combo for you, Jean – you have created a gorgeous card! Love the rich poinsettias and scattering of gold sequins 🙂
