Spellbinders | September 2022 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello! I am delighted to be participating in a blog hop celebrating the Spellbinders September 2022 Club Subscriptions. You should have reached me from the blog of Jennifer Kotas. For the hop, I created a whimsical, slimline Christmas card with this month’s Large Die of the Month “Thankful Tractor” and fall-themed gift tags with the Large Die of the Month and the Embossing Folder “Scattered Fall.”

Dry-emboss slimline panel of Waterfall cardstock with Puff Dotty embossing folder and add to slimline card base. Add 1″ tall white cardstock to bottom for snow. (I used flocked white cardstock.)
Cut tractor and trailer with the Large Die of the Month from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
Add Santa, Christmas balls, stockings, and sentiment tag to trailer.

Embellish scene with snowflakes cut with dies in the Let It Snowman set and a Poppy Pearl Dot to secure the sentiment tag.

Add a sweet tag to gifts this fall. I can think of dozens of things to which I could attach these – candles, coffee, baked goods, mugs, …!

Cut tag from Lagoon cardstock dry-embossed with the Embossing Folder “Scattered Fall.”
Cut sentiment, pumpkin, corn, and gourd cut from a variety of cardstock colors with the Large Die of the Month set, assemble, add to tags.

For the hop, I created a die-cut card with this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “Food Truck.” I turned the truck into a flower truck driven by a flamingo! (There are many creative ways to use this truck die set.)

Here’s how you can make this card:

Dry-emboss light teal A2-size panel and add to card base. (I used a previously released Embossing Folder of the Month.)
Stamp Let’s Celebrate sentiment on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with circle die.
Cut truck from a variety of cardstock colors. I created the “Flower Power” signage on my computer printer. Assemble truck. Pop truck up on light blue cardstock, cut slightly smaller than the truck, with foam adhesive, leaving room to slip in the flamingo and flowers.
Cut flamingo (Plant It Here) and flowers and foliage (Plant It Here, Mini Blooms and Sprigs, Universal Curved Border, Lemon Zest) and assemble. Add elements to truck with dot and foam adhesive.
Add sentiment and truck to dry-embossed background.

I die-cut the flowers with both of the petal flower dies in the Large Die of the Month kit from five different colored cardstock colors.
To save time, I die-cut the floral centers from Snowdrift cardstock using the Kaleidoscope Argyle set, which has a die that cuts 15 circles at once.
I glimmer-foiled in Matte Gold on an A2-size Snowdrift card base a sentiment from the Sentiments for Everyday set.
I assembled the flowers and then glued them on to the card base.

I couldn’t resist using the sweet Open House Spring bunny on a tag dry-embossed with the Embossing Folder Die of the Month.

With the Embossing Folder Die of the Month, I dry-embossed a tag created with the Heart to Heart Tag die set.
I glimmer-foiled in Matte Silver on Snowdrift cardstock a sentiment in the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments set.
I die-cut the bunny from a variety of cardstock colors using the Open House Spring set.
I die-cut a hill from green cardstock with a die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set.
I assembled the tag and added twine. This would be fun on an Easter basket.

Rubbernecker Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Rubbernecker Blog Hop celebrating their 29th birthday with a new release and prizes!

Comment on each post in the blog hop for a chance to win the four sets shown below, worth over $60. One winner will be chosen on 2/6.

For the celebratory blog hop, I am sharing two mini-slimline, birthday-themed cards created with just-released Rubbernecker stamp sets. A full list of blog hop participants appears at the end of my post.

My first card features bright, die-cut balloons and a fun script sentiment.

I stamped the pattern image in the Happy Birthday #1 stamp set on to colored paper with coordinating inks for a tone-on-tone look.
I die-cut the stamped paper with the Balloons Die. I die-cut the strings from white cardstock and assembled the balloons.
I stamped the sentiment in the Birthday Vase set in VersaFine ink on a mini-slimline sized light-blue cardstock panel.

I created a mini-slimline frame by cutting patterned paper using the two largest dies in the Mini Slimline Nested with Stich set.
I attached the sentiment panel to a card base and adhered the frame.
After assembly everything, I embellished the card with circles cut from glitter cardstock using dies in the Lifeguard Tower and Fishing Boat die sets.

My second card showcases the fun-to-color Birthday Vase stamp set.

I created a mini-slimline frame by cutting patterned paper using the two largest dies in the Mini Slimline Nested with Stich set.
I stamped the sentiment in the Birthday Vase set in VersaFine ink on a mini-slimline sized white cardstock panel.
Using vellum as a mask, I applied Distress Oxide inks above and below the horizon line.
I attached the sentiment panel to a card base and adhered the frame.
I stamped the vase and flowers in Memento black ink on white cardstock, colored the image with Copic markers and colored pencils, and fussy-cut it.
I assembled the card, adding the flowers and vase with foam adhesive.
I embellished with Silver Mix Gems.

For the hop, I created gift card holders with this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “A Pocket Full of Love.” I previously shared a card created with the same die set here.

For the gift card holders, I created the same design, varying the colors I used. This unique die set creates a pocket in which to place a note, a photo, a gift card, and more revealed by pulling up the heart.

Create A2-size card bases with the January 2022 Embossing Folder “Spreading Love.” Spellbinders launched the Embossing Folder Club on January 1, and the response has been so overwhelming this Club has sold out. This design may be brought back at a later time (check the “Past Clubs” section). Be sure to sign up for Clubs right away on the first of the month so as to not miss out on any future designs.
Create the pockets – die-cut, score on three sides – and adhere to dry-embossed backgrounds.
Die-cut solid hearts, detailed hearts, detailed pocket covers, and enclosure panel pieces. Assemble.
Glimmer foil the sentiments with the More Sentiments set in silver and cut with a die in the Mini Sincere Sentiments set.
