Rubbernecker Santa in a Boat

Ho ho ho! Today I am sharing a last-minute holiday card featuring several Rubbernecker die sets. I previously used the Santa die here and here. One of the first times we took our sons to see Santa was in Mystic, Connecticut, where Santa arrived by boat.

Penny Black Winter Wishes

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS winter-themed card created with Penny Black supplies. Although, I used Christmas colors, the design could be created in non-Christmas colors for a winter friendship card.  This design is similar to a card I made at the same time last year. What’s different with this version? Most notably, it’s A2-sized, and I used the 30-881 When Snow Falls sentiment and a die in the 51-717 Border Collection. By using the Border Collection edge, I eliminated the need to frame the card.

Penny Black Winter Wishes

  • I heat-embossed the 30-881 When Snow Falls sentiment in Red Geranium on off-white cardstock and trimmed the panel.
  • I cut the 51-667 Winter Greens from green cardstock.
  • I cut the strip from the same green cardstock (to finish off the left-side edge of the 51-667 Winter Greens) using one of the 51-717 Border Collection dies.
  • I cut the birds from red cardstock with dies in the 51-657 Wildwood set.
  • I glued the Winter Greens/Border Collection assembly to the sentiment panel and added the birds with foam adhesive.
  • I added Stickles to the berries.

Tim Holtz Christmas Minis

Hello! Today, I am sharing a Christmas card that features the Tim Holtz Christmas Minis die set.

Tim Holtz Christmas Minis

  • I stamped the Christmastime 3 sentiment in Tumbled Glass oxide ink on white cardstock. I trimmed the panel to 4 inches square and added it to a 4 1/4 inches SU Cherry Cobbler card base.
  • I die-cut the Christmas Minis from a variety of cardstock colors including SU Old Olive, SU Cherry Cobbler, SU Kraft, and SU Balmy Blue. I assembled the wreath, gingerbread boy, snowman, and package, added them to die-cut circles (die is in the Christmas Minis set), and popped them up with foam adhesive.

Penny Black Winter View

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter-themed card created with Penny Black supplies. I previously shared a card with the 51-724 Viewpoint die set here.

Penny Black Winter View

  • I die-cut the set 51-724 Viewpoint from white and dark gray cardstock, taping the dark gray pieces to the back of the white window frame.
  • I stamped the 40-764 All Things Evergreen trees in Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness oxide inks on a white cardstock panel.
  • On the panel with the stamped trees, I applied Texture Paste through the Large Falling Snow Slimline stencil and added Rock Candy glitter. I set the glittered trees aside to dry.
  • I die-cut the 51-717 Border Collection border for a snowdrift and trimmed it to fit beneath the trees.
  • I heat-embossed the 30-257 Joy Filled sentiment in Red Geranium and cut it with a banner die.
  • Once the paste was dry, I assembled the card, adding it to a red cardstock base. I embellished with snowflakes cut with the 51-708 Dancing Snowflakes set from Sugar Coated cardstock.

Elizabeth Craft Designs Christmas Gnomes

Hello! I hope you are having a festive December thus far. Today, I am sharing a Christmas card featuring the Elizabeth Craft Designs Gnomes die set, which I just couldn’t resist.

  • I die-cut the Gnomes pieces including the packages from felt, cardstock, and glitter cardstock and assembled them. (The felt is from Taylored Expressions.) You can use the Farmer die set to cut the eyes.
  • I heat-embossed the Bitty Holiday Wishes (now retired) sentiment in Red Geranium and cut it with a banner die.
  • I added the Gnomes, with packages, and sentiment to now-retired Lawn Fawn patterned paper. Initially I had planned to die-cut a snowbank, however, this paper worked well with the bright felt colors.
