November SFYTT from Reverse Confetti

Have you seen this month’s Sketch for You to Try at Reverse Confetti?

SFYTTNovember2014

I’m playing along with stamps and die cuts from the most recent release.

I chose traditional holiday red and green solid cardstock and patterned paper. With the white card base, I needed the sentiment to stand out, so I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments on black cardstock. I added a tree cut with the Branch Out die set attached with dimensional adhesive.

Penny Black CAS Reindeer

I’m sharing a CAS holiday card combining a Penny Black die cut, stenciled background and heat embossed sentiment with one of my favorite holiday color combinations – white, red and silver.

CASReindeer

I began by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment from Penny Black’s 30-255 Most Wonderful on heavyweight white cardstock.

Next, I applied white embossing paste through the 25-010 Zigs & Zags stencil. I only applied paste in the center portion, letting the edges unevenly fade away.

Finally, I cut the larger reindeer from the 51-069 Together set several times, adhering the pieces for added dimension, and attached the reindeer to the embossed background.

Freshly Made Sketches #162

Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches #162 challenge.

Freshly Made Sketches #162

For my card, I flipped the sketch horizontally because of the sledder’s orientation. I didn’t want him sledding so close to the card edge!

I cut the MFT slope twice and lined it up on the focal panel and on the panel behind. The sledder was cut twice, once in silver foil and again in cardstock for extra dimension.

Supplies: Hero Arts Joy to All (sentiment); Echo Park patterned paper; Impression Obsession Sled; MFT Snow Drifts Dienamics; Dienamics Blueprint 1

Penny Black: CAS Holiday Skyline

Today, I’m sharing a CAS holiday card pairing a Penny Black die cut with several stamped images.

CASCityChristmasI cut foil paper and heavyweight white cardstock with the #51-017 Downtown die and adhered them together. The white cardstock was cut without a cutting shim, so the windows were intact. I simply used Scotch tape on the back to keep them in place. I stamped and heat embossed, with silver embossing powder, the string of lights from #30-259 Wonderful & Jolly on black cardstock. I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from #30-257 Joy Filled.

I can’t believe how fast the holidays are approaching!
