Penny Black Simplicity – Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hello! Today I’m sharing a CAS Valentine created with Penny Black supplies. This postman hedgehog is making his rounds with Valentines!

Penny Black Simplicity CAS Valentine

I stamped the hedgehog image, from the 30-271 Share A Hug stamp set, on watercolor paper and colored it with a variety of mediums, including watercolor pencils, Zig markers and Distress inks. I cut a frame for the image from patterned paper in my stash. I die-cut the sentiment, from the 51-284 Filled With Love set, twice for extra depth. I added the sentiment to the frame with foam adhesive.

Penny Black Simplicity – Be Mine

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS Valentine created with the Penny Black die set 51-180 All My Hearts.

PB Simplicity Be Mine

I used the die set, which includes five detailed hearts and a solid heart, to cut the hearts from a variety of color cardstock. I adhered the overlays to the solid hearts with liquid adhesive and attached the assembled hearts to colored cardstock squares with foam adhesive.

I’m also over on the Penny Black Simplicity blog today with another die-cut Valentine! Hope youll head on over and take a look!

I stamped the cat image, from the 30-271 Share A Hug stamp set, on watercolor paper and colored it with a variety of mediums, including watercolors and watercolor pencils. I also painted a strip of watercolor paper with paint, and once dry, I die-cut the strip with one of the dies in the 51-284 Filled With Love set. I added the sentiment to the image with foam adhesive.

Taylored Expressions – Love Bug

Hello! I’m sharing a CAS Valentine’s Day card featuring Taylored Expressions products.

TE Love Bug

I paired the On the Road – Beetle (in red of course!) with a background created with the Cloud Nine Background. The sentiment is from the Go Beep set. While this card doesn’t scream masculine, it certainly could be sent to a guy.

Lawn Fawn – Snow Day

Hello from the cold Pacific Northwest! I’m sharing a CAS winter-themed Valentine created with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.

Lawn Fawn Snow Day

I stamped and colored the adorable bunnies from Snow Day and paired them with a snowy tree-lined hill cut with the Forest Border die. The background patterned paper from Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas is intended for the Christmas holiday but still works for Valentine’s Day!

TE December 2016 Release

I stamped and die cut the hearts with the Filled with Love Stamp & Die Combo set and attached them to a panel, which I had stamped with a sentiment from the set. To keep the hearts in a straight line, I used the panel from which I’d die cut the hearts as a guide. This card was super easy and quick to assemble.

Hearts Aflutter – Taylored Expressions December 2016 Release

Hello! Welcome to Day One of the Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks. Love is in the air! This month’s release features products designed for creating Valentine’s Day cards as well as classroom/friend treats! The December products will be released Thursday, December 8 @ 7 AM PST!

I’ve created two cards to share today. My first card features the Floating Hearts Cutting Plate. Be sure to scroll to the end of the post for a promotion of this TE Web Store exclusive.

TE December 2016 Release

To create the card, I used the cutting plate die to cut the Sugar Cube cardstock frame into which I added the hearts cut from colored cardstock in a variety of colors. Once all of the pieces were in the frame, I put Scotch tape on the back. I heat-embossed the Brushstroke Valentine sentiment on vellum, which I then cut with a circle die (carefully applying liquid adhesive under the letters to attach the vellum to the die-cut panel).
