Welcome to Day 3 of the Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks! It’s time to get crafty with Easter- and spring-themed projects! The February products will be released tomorrow – Thursday, February 4 @ 7 AM PST!
My first card, created entirely with die cuts, features the Door to Door Spring Decor set, a coordinating set for the previous released Door to Door die set.
I added a mail box cut with the Little Bits – Mailbox set and a Welcome banner cut with a die in the Welcome Spring Banner set. There’s just something about a red door! (Of course, there are a number of other options here – it’s just a matter of changing up the colors.)
My second card showcases the Simply Stamped – Tulips stamp set, with coordinating dies.
I stamped the tulip images three times each, using Dandelion, Cantaloupe, Tangelo and Morocco inks for the blossoms and Bamboo Leaves and Cottage Ivy inks for the stems and leaves. In some cases, I stamped a combination of Dandelion/Cantaloupe/Tangelo and on others Cantaloupe/Tangelo/Morocco. I wanted there to be variation in the coloring on the flowers.
I heat-embossed one of the sentiments from the set and cut it with a die in the Stitched Banner Stacklets set. The floral scene is set against a dry-embossed background, created with the Butterfly Swirls embossing folder.

Your door scene is sooo pretty, Jean, especially with the red door and I love your gorgeous tulips…awesome projects today!!!!!!!
What neat cards! Love the tulips and all the detail you put into both cards. My mother used to have a tulip garden when I was a child. My sister has a big, red door on her grey house. Looks good! I have real connections with your cards today — thanks for the memories!
Shut the front door! Both of your cards are just amazing! And it doesn’t get any cuter than the Welcome/door card!
What a fabulous red front door! And again the lovely embossed background under a frame…love that look.
I am absolutely in love with that red door, but I think I love the green/orange combination more.
LOVE your bright red door – so “welcoming”!! And your field of tulips is absolutely beautiful!
