Hello! Today, I’m sharing two cards with the same design featuring the Penny Black 51-232 Layered Scene die set.
For the first card, I cut the scene from two different cardstock colors, backed the scene with a soft blue, and added the assembly to a white card base on which I stamped one of the sentiments included in the 30-418 Stitched Flowers set. I matched the ink color to the soft brown in the scene.
For the second card, I chose brighter/more saturated colors and added the assembled scene to a dry-embossed card base.
I cut the sentiment with a die in the 51-284 Filled With Love set. (I cut the sentiment three times and glued the pieces together for extra depth.)
All of the colored cardstock is from Stampin’ Up. I’ve got a package of almost every color, as well as a lot of retired colors!
Two great cards using this die set, Jean! Especially love card 2 with the brighter colors and the embossing. Would make a perfect anniversary card!!
Jean, these are awesome! Love the pair!!
I can’t pick a favorite…they are both fab! And it all starts with a great design.
I love the scene! Wonderful die cut for the image, and I like the soft blue background as well as the deeper one. Great job! (Sorry I’ve been behind in commenting. I might not always get here to say something, but I do enjoy your cards!)
These are both wonderful Jean. The die-cut is so delicate, and I love the colours on both of the cards.
