Hello! With Labor Day just around the corner, I am sharing a CAS, end-of-summer card using the Beach Houses set from Marianne Design. The company is based in The Netherlands; I buy their sets from Frantic Stamper.
- The dies for the houses have open slots on the back through which I inked the details on the houses and the umbrella.
- I masked the houses to ink the flag and the bird.
- I cut the chairs and the door from cardstock inked with the Memento Love Letter ink. I inked squares with Dandelion ink and taped the pieces behind the windows.
- I stamped the Papertrey Ink sentiment (which I use once every year it seems!) on to Sea Glass cardstock, and added a strip of blue cardstock for the ocean, and kraft cardstock for the beach.
- I cut the lone bird in the sky with a Memory Box set, now retired, which I lightly inked on the edges.
- I adhered the elements to the scene.
Adorable trio of beach houses, Jean! Just love the little extras like the stenciling, the seagull and the pair of chairs too!!
Darling card. So many out there in blogland of beach huts/cabanas. I guess they are so desirable due to being confined to home for so long this spring.
WOW- great card! So much attention to detail and it pays off. That kraft cardstock really looks sand like. Wish I was there . . .
I love beach huts and you have done a fabulous job of these – great detail Jean. Another lovely card.
