Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS “Thank You” featuring a potted hydrangea created with Penny Black supplies. Around here, we’ll begin to see hydrangeas blooming mid-July.
- I cut the 51-610 Hydrangea pieces from green cardstock and two shades of blue.
- With the same set, I cut the butterflies from yellow cardstock.
- I cut the pot for the plant from red cardstock with a die in the 51-635 Buckets of Flowers set.
- I cut the back frame with the 51-611 Creative Curves die from white cardstock.
- I stamped the 30-281 Flower Sparks sentiment and cut it with a circle die.
- I tried a number of different backgrounds, including ones I stamped with backgrounds stamps. In the end, patterned paper from my stash worked best.
Darling pot of hydrangea, Jean! Just love it atop that curvy lattice background & fab patterned paper!!
Oh WOW…I am going to have to start a whole new top 5…this is definitely on the list.
Great card. The white on white looks like lattice. Great color combos, as usual!
This is so cute!! I love that you matched the color of the hydrangea to the background paper. I also love that you layered the flower over the white die cut. Such a pretty design.
