Neat + Tangled Holiday Tags

The Neat and Tangled Design Team are sharing holiday tags today on the blog. While you’re there, be sure to check out the amazing creations shared yesterday as well! And did you hear, Neat and Tangled was featured in the Moxie Fab Stamp of Approval!

In addition to the tag shared on the blog, I created a smaller tag using the presents and bows from the Elves at Work stamp set. I created this tag for my husband who prefers traditional holiday colors. I can imagine creating these tags with presents colored to match the gift wrap. Happy Friday and last day of November, everyone!

Kraft, Red and Green

I’ve been enjoying myself this week in the Christmas in a Flurry class at Ellen Hutson’s. Julie has shared some fantastic projects and ideas. What’s emerged from the class for me is how much I like the combination of kraft cardstock with red and green inks. Maybe it’s the dark, or the frequent rains here in the Pacific Northwest, whatever the reason, the combination feels warm and cozy.

This CAS-style card came together quickly using the Hero Arts background stamp. I dipped the wood veneer tree in Versamark and then WOW embossing powder. I heat embossed the tree and then reapplied the ink and powder two more times for a smooth finish.

I also crafted a couple of tags – super simple and fun.

Greetings from the South Pole

A “just because” card combining stamped images from several Paper Smooches sets. After posting my cards for the Winter Groves set, I began to think about a card featuring penguins at the South Pole.  Here’s the result of that brainstorming. 🙂

Something Special to Share – and a Giveaway

Paper Smooches released their newest Kismet stamp set called Winter Groves on November 15th and I am here today to help promote this sweet set! You will find the new stamp set HERE.

Honestly, I could have created many more cards with this set – for this post, I’m sharing three. I love the set’s holiday-ish feel with an emphasis on the season of winter. I used non-traditional holiday colors for my cards to explore that winter feel.

First up is the adorable penguin and his igloo!

For my next card, the snowman went ice fishing, using the pole and fish from the Paper Smooches “My Guy” set.

For my final card, I played with the idea of the “Partridge in a Pear Tree” theme. I imagined a bare tree lit by a string of lights with a bokeh-effect.
