Your Wave Is Waiting – CAS Taylored Expressions Beach-Themed Card

Hello! With Memorial Day just around the corner (the weekend that heralds the beginning of summer), I’ve been busy making summer-themed cards. Headed to the beach or thinking about the beach? My CAS card combines summer/beach-themed products from Taylored Expressions.

I used the inlaid die-cutting technique with the Build a Scene – Rolling Waves and the Summer Sunnies sunglasses. The sentiment from Big Kahuna fit the theme perfectly. I took my cue for the colors from the patterned paper in TE 6×6 Paper Pack – Double the Joy.

I couldn’t resist adding the Little Bits – Flip Flops (I’m pretty sure this is my most used Taylored Expressions product ever) and a flower created with the Mini Bloomers 2 set.

Penny Black Simplicity – It’s the Little Things

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a bright CAS card, suited for a variety of occasions, featuring a combination of Penny Black dies.

I cut the sentiment with the 51-340 Dream Big die several times for additional depth. I cut the fish with the 51-314 Fancy Fish die from a variety of cardstock colors. I used an embossing folder for the waves peeking out through the hole.

Taylored Expressions CAS Mother’s Day Card

Hello! I’m sharing a CAS Mother’s Day card created with Taylored Expressions products.

TE CAS Mother's Day Card

Not only CAS, this card was quick to make. I stamped the Notable Blooms Background with Sugar Cube ink on Lollipop cardstock and cut it with a die in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. I cut the letters with the Initially M and Initially O dies from Sugar Cube cardstock and foam (for additional depth).

Paper Smooches CAS Friendship Card

Hello! I’m sharing a CAS friendship card created from a combination of Paper Smooches products. It’s been far too long since I played with Paper Smooches (one of the first companies whose products I bought when I started cardmaking)!

I went bold with the cardstock colors to create a CAS spring still life. I stamped the watering can on cardstock (rather than color it with Copic markers) and cut it with its companion die. The bird was cut from patterned paper.

Penny Black Simplicity – Build-a-House Hello

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS “Hello”card featuring a combination of Penny Black dies including 51-303 Build a House.

Penny Black Simplicity

To begin, I stamped the background stamp 40-310 Star Ivy with pigment ink. While it was drying, I cut the 51-303 Build a House pieces from cardstock and assembled them with Ranger Multi Medium Matte glue. I cut the sentiment from the 51-040 Hello Frame set twice, for extra depth, which I also assembled with the Ranger glue. I cut the background with a rectangular die and circle die at the same time. I cut the fence from the 51-073 Haunted Hollow die set and placed it behind the houses in the scene. After assembling the scene I added a cloud cut with the smallest die in the 51-033 Silver Linings set.

Recently, I shared another card created with the 51-303 Build a House set on the Penny Black Simplicity site. I hope you’ll head over there and check it out.
