Penny Black CAS Reindeer

I’m sharing a CAS holiday card combining a Penny Black die cut, stenciled background and heat embossed sentiment with one of my favorite holiday color combinations – white, red and silver.

Penny Black CAS Reindeer

I began by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment from Penny Black’s 30-255 Most Wonderful on heavyweight white cardstock.

Next, I applied white embossing paste through the 25-010 Zigs & Zags stencil. I only applied paste in the center portion, letting the edges unevenly fade away.

Finally, I cut the larger reindeer from the 51-069 Together set several times, adhering the pieces for added dimension, and attached the reindeer to the embossed background.

Penny Black: CAS Holiday Skyline

Today, I’m sharing a CAS holiday card pairing a Penny Black die cut with several stamped images.

I cut foil paper and heavyweight white cardstock with the #51-017 Downtown die and adhered them together. The white cardstock was cut without a cutting shim, so the windows were intact. I simply used Scotch tape on the back to keep them in place. I stamped and heat embossed, with silver embossing powder, the string of lights from #30-259 Wonderful & Jolly on black cardstock. I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from #30-257 Joy Filled.

I can’t believe how fast the holidays are approaching!

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Brushstroke Christmas set, as well as the lights from the Tis the Season set. The stag was cut from both green and gold foil cardstock. I cut two layers for extra depth. The die cuts and stamps in this release work so well together!

Holiday Cheer: Cutting Down the Christmas Tree

I’m back with another take on the Impression Obsession truck – this time on a holiday-themed card. For my scene, I’ve imagined a family gathering their Christmas trees in a snowy forest.

I used white embossing paste on a Simon Says Stamp stencil to create the softly falling snow. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set from a few years ago. I like the informal font for this style of card.

The Online Card Classes Copic Markers class starts tomorrow – looking forward to several weeks of coloring!
