Mojo Monday Meets ColourQ

Today, I’m playing along with Mojo Monday 378 and ColourQ 273. I like that tropical-feeling color combo so much, I had to play along again!

The card width is around 4″ and it’s a tad taller than 6″. I almost always make tent-fold cards, but I wasn’t able to for this card due to its height. I used the Paper Smooches Flower Dies and a Stampin’ Up sentiment stamp. The Poppy Parade banner was stamped with a Stampin’ Up background stamp for tone-on-tone texture.

Penny Black CAS Holiday Card with Partial Die Cutting

Today I’m sharing another CAS holiday card created with Penny Black supplies. And again the Branching Out die cut takes center stage.

To begin, I stamped the background with 40-350 Tree-Lined on green cardstock in a green ink. The panel was trimmed and attached to a white cardstock panel.

By placing my acrylic plates and die on the cardstock to create a partial cut, I cut out the tree with the 51-081 Branching Out die. I then cut the sides of the snowbanks from the remaining cardstock. It took a couple of times to get this right!

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (from the Penny Black 30-257 Joy Filled set).

Hope your week is off to a terrific start!

Penny Black CAS Holiday Card

Today I’m sharing a CAS holiday card created with Penny Black Creative Dies.

CASPeace

I cut the tree with 51-081 Branching Out die twice. I placed the tree on a grid of squares using a color combination featured on the Penny Black blog last year. (The combinations from the Color Christmas series are ones I will use again and again as they aren’t ones I would have come up with on my own.) Edited in 2024: I cannot find this series to reference it with a link. I added a sentiment, which was cut with the Peace die, from in the 51-021 Love & Joy set, three times for extra depth.

Hoping your holiday season is filled with Peace!

Reverse Confetti: Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

I’m playing along in the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Clearly Christmas with a card created with some newly released Reverse Confetti supplies.

For my card, I was inspired by the colors of blue, green, white and silver. And of course the Christmas theme.

Reverse Confetti: Curtain Call Inspiration ChallengeI cut the chevrons with the Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts die and adhered them to a white base. I did this three times and then cut the panels into strips. When I attached the strips to the card base, I rotated the one in the middle 180 degrees so that there would be a zig zag pattern. I cut the snowflakes with the Let It Snow Confetti Cuts dies. I cut each size twice and adhered them for extra depth. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments in silver.
