It’s time for the second Pinspired Challenge. The inspirational photo is for you to interpret anyway you want. You can take from the colors, the style, the theme – it’s up to you!
This challenge is sponsored by Neat and Tangled Stamps; Danielle is generously offering the winner one stamp set of their choice.
Here’s my take on the challenge image. I couldn’t resist using the elf girl from “Elves at Work.” She got a new outfit for winter, now that’s it’s no longer the holidays ;-), and is ready to play in the snow! I wanted to capture the winter theme, the colors, and the mittens in the inspiration image.
Head on over to the Pinspired Challenges blog to see the creations from the rest of the “Pin Heads” and find out the details for playing along. Three runner ups will be chosen and win a “Pin Pal” badge for their blog. A winner, who will also be chosen by the “Pin Heads,” will win a “Pin Perfect” badge for their blog along with the prize from Neat and Tangled Stamps. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Supplies: McGill punch (tag); Divine Twine
Just before Thanksgiving, Danielle from Neat and Tangled, heard news that a girl she went to high school with and her family had embarked on an incredibly difficult journey. They had discovered that their sweet little two-year-old boy, Grayson, had a tumor on his brain stem. Since then they have been on a roller coaster ride, and this is only part of the journey. Grayson will begin chemotherapy this month as the next stage of treatment. Through all of this, the family has stayed strong, hopeful, faithful and positive. And Grayson is a strong and spunky fighter. Grayson’s mom, Jackie, has a blog she updates regularly, so you can get to know more about Grayson.
Danielle wants to just light up Grayson’s life with some serious happy mail! She talked to Jackie, and she informed her that Grayson and his brother love to get mail…and so, here we have the Happy Mail for Grayson Card Drive.
Grayson is super lucky to have a big brother, Aydan, who is four, so make sure to send some awesome cards to him too! These boys love all things boy: Rescue Bots, Geotracks, Angry Birds, Thomas the Train. Send these little men funny, happy cards! We all know how much love goes into a handmade card, and even better how personalized they can be!
The drive will run from January 21 – February 28
(If they arrive late because they are International that’s okay too!)
Send cards to:
Grayson Savery and/or Aydan Savery

Thank you in advance for your cards! Please feel free to share with your crafty friends.
It’s Day Four of the January Release at Neat & Tangled Stamps. Today, I’m showing three cards I created with “Party Dots” – an incredibly versatile set that includes a must-have “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment stamp. This stamp set lends itself to card making for a multitude of occasions – weddings, wedding announcements, birthday parties, graduations, …
For my first card, I heat embossed the background with one of the dots stamps using Versamark and American Crafts Zing! powder. I stamped the die-cut heart with silver pigment ink. The “Let’s Celebrate” banner and sentiment are heat embossed with Hero Arts silver powder. I guess when I think “celebrate” I turn to metallic colors!
My second card is similar – the die cut hearts are stamped with pigment ink and the “Let’s Celebrate” banner and sentiment are heat embossed with Hero Arts silver powder. I added a few rhinestones for some bling!
For my final card, I heat embossed the sentiment onto a die cut banner and paired it with an EK Success wedding cake. The background is dry embossed.
Don’t forget to head over to the Neat & Tangled Blog for inspiration from more of the design team and to enter today’s giveaway – the winner will receive the “Party Dots” stamp set! While you’re there, check out the posts from the rest of the week as well. You still have time to enter to win the sets revealed earlier this week. All of the January release stamp sets will be available for purchase at the Neat & Tangled store, tomorrow, Friday, January 11.
It’s Day One of the January Release at Neat & Tangled Stamps. Danielle has knocked it out of the park with her “My Heart Sings” set! This stamp set would work equally well for Valentine’s Day, weddings, engagement parties, … you get the idea, anything connected with LOVE!
For my first card, I stamped the set’s pair of birds onto Teresa Collins’ musical notes paper and joined them with a stamped, die-cut heart.
For my second card, I colored one of the birds with Copics and added a touch of Ranger Stickles.
