Cardmaking and Scrapbooking with Jean Manis
Hello! I have a card over on the Penny Black Simplicity site today! I hope you’ll head on over to check it out.
Today, I’m sharing a CAS Father’s Day card created with a variety of items in my stash.
My youngest son is home this week between college terms, and he folded the origami shirt for me using an online tutorial with some scrapbook paper I’ve had for several years. I added a tie cut with the Penny Black Dapper [#51-049] die cut. (I trimmed the tie a bit and tucked it under the shirt collar.) The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s And Many More set.
Another great sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!
My take on the sketch with Penny Black’s 40-238 Floral Applique used for the floral element.
I stamped the sentiment for 30-160 Friendship. I pulled out the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for this one!
I’m playing along with ColourQ #293 with a CAS card featuring floral images Penny Black’s Flower Sparks stamp set.
I used Post-it notes to mask when I stamped the 30-281 Flower Sparks images, so that I could have the stems a different color than the blooms. I added a sentiment from the versatile set 30-283 Snippets before cutting the image with a square die cut and matting it with another white cardstock square. The Island Indigo card base is 4 1/4″ square.
Today I’m sharing a spring-themed card combining Penny Black die cuts and stamped images.
I cut the butterflies with one of the dies from the #51-132 Flights of Fancy set and colored them with Copic markers. I inked the #40-282 Twirls stamp with Memento markers and stamped onto white cardstock. The sentiment from the #30-283 Snippets set was heat embossed. I dry embossed the background to add texture.
