Pinspired Challenge #10

Welcome! It’s time for another Pinspired Challenge. The photo is for you to interpret anyway you want. Be inspired by the colors, the style, the theme – it’s up to you!

This challenge is sponsored by Bossy Joscie Flair who is offering the winner a $20 gift certificate to her online store.

For my card, I drew from the strong colors. I’ve never made a card with a photo before. Once I added the heart flair to the center of the stamped camera, it seemed only natural to add a photo. And my husband and our golden retriever certainly do make me smile.

For my card, I drew from the texture of the cake, the colors of green/tan/white, and the themes of spring and love. It’s rare for me to make a card without a lot of stamping, however, I did stamp the hearts using the woodgrain circle in the “My Happy” stamp set before die-cutting them.

I was inspired by the image’s theme and design. I used two different cloud dies to achieve the cloud cover. I die cut vellum adhered to Be Creative tape so that I could easily adhere the clouds. Rather than use rain drops on my card, I die cut three colorful umbrellas.

Pinspired Challenge #6

Welcome! It’s time for another Pinspired Challenge. The inspirational photo is for you to interpret anyway you want. You can take from the colors, the style, the theme – it’s up to you!

This challenge is sponsored by Paper Sweeties. They’re generously offering $25 to their shop to the challenge winner.

I sought to capture the shimmer and overall feminine theme of the inspiration image. (And honestly, I had NOT seen the Paper Sweeties graphic before I made this card!) The chipboard dress and hanger were given to me by Barb Ghigliotty, whom I met through flickr – aren’t they adorable! The dress is covered with American Crafts POW glitter paper. I created the sentiment on my computer and finished the card off with silver metallic paper and a little bling!
