Additionally, use the code PUFFY for a pack of Pebbles Flowers Puffy Stickers, free with any purchase until Sunday, 6/24 at 11:59 pm EDT.

My first project features the Hibiscus Frame die with which I created a CAS friendship card in bright tropical colors.

SSS Good Vibes Release

  • I cut the Hibiscus Frame from 110 lb. white cardstock and trimmed it to 4 1/4″ square (the die cuts the inside but not the outside frame).
  • For the background, I adhered strips of cardstock – Key Lime, Sea Glass, Tangerine Twist – from the Gina K Add-On pack to a piece of cardstock.
  •  I cut the small piece of the hibiscus from Coral Reef cardstock.
  • To finish, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Vacation Time set on Tranquil Teal and added it to the top.

For my next project, I created a CAS summer-themed card showcasing the Jazz Dance stencil.

For my final project, I created a friendship card combining a sentiment from Vacation Time with the Big Friend die.

Simon Says Stamp GOOD VIBES Release Day

Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be sharing three projects featuring products from the just-released Simon Says Stamp GOOD VIBES release. This release is serious fun – think beach, summer, bright and happy.

Good Vibes Release

Let’s head to the beach! My first card features the Surf’s Up stamp set.

SSS Good Vibes Release

  • I created a background with inks (from top): Salty Ocean, Summer Sky, Squeezed Lemonade, Dandelion, Tangelo, and Spiced Marmalade.
  • I stamped the Surf’s Up beach/sun image in black ink on top of the inked panel. I die-cut a frame from Key Lime cardstock (included in the Gina K Add-On pack). The diameter of the circle die was such that I covered the outside circle of the beach/sun image with the frame.
  • I stamped and Copic-colored a number of the images in the Surf’s Up set, adding them to the scene along with some clouds cut with the Picture Book Sky die.
  • To finish off the card, I heat-embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and added it to the frame.

SSS Good Vibes Release

My next project showcases the intricate and elegant Debra die.

SSS Good Vibes Release

  • I cut the die from white cardstock and cut it to an A2 size (the die cuts the inside design but not the outside edges).
  • I created a panel to go behind the Debra frame with alcohol inks – Red Pepper and Sunshine Yellow – on Yupo paper.
  • I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Vacation Time set and adhered it to the card.

My final project showcases several of the big sentiments in the Vacation Time set.

SSS Good Vibes Release

  • I repeatedly stamped two of the Vacation Time sentiments on white cardstock for the card background.
  • I added a die-cut Bikini and heat-embossed sentiment (Four Seasons set)  to a circle cut from cardstock to match the ink I used to stamp the sentiments.

Hello, Beautiful

Hello! Today, I am sharing a card featuring the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flower Burst stamp set (part of the Sending Sunshine release) colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

Simon Says Stamp | Spring Flower Burst

To make the card:

  • I stamped the Spring Flower Burst images with Intense Black ink on mixed media paper and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I colored first with a darker color and then with a lighter color; for example, Persian Blue blended with Light Blue and Wine Red blended with Pink Flamingo. I used both the cluster floral image and individual floral images from the stamp set.
  • I cut the images and adhered the individual flowers over the cluster floral image with foam adhesive for additional dimension.
  • I colored the card panel background with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink and added the blooms to the background.
  • I scored the card base on the left (not a tent-fold) and added the floral panel to the card base.
  • I heat-embossed the MFT Essential Sentiments sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock and cut it with one of the banners in the Extra Sentiment Banners set. I added the sentiment banner over the floral images.

Die-Cut Thank You with Butterflies

Hello! Today I am sharing a card featuring the Simon Says Stamp Adeline Butterfly die and the Big Thanks dies.

Die-Cut Thank You with Butterflies

To begin, I stamped the Flower Explosion background with white pigment ink on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. For the butterflies, I colored white cardstock with Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Worn Lipstick, which I cut with the Adeline Butterfly die.

Die-Cut Thank You with Butterflies

I used the Big Thanks die to cut Black Licorice and vellum for the sentiment. To ground the butterflies on the background, I dry-embossed a die-cut circle.

Freshly Made Sketches 337 – Die-cut Crocodile

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS friendship card which I am entering into the Freshly Made Sketches 337 challenge.

Freshly Made Sketches 337

This card combines my fondness for die-cuts and for stencils.

Freshly Made Sketches 337 - Die-cut Crocodile

To begin, I cut the Picture Book Croc from cardstock colored with Lucky Clover, Pine Needles, and Cracked Pistachio inks and assembled him. Next, I inked a white cardstock panel using the Abstract Triangle stencil with Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, and Mermaid Lagoon inks. I dry-embossed the yellow cardstock with an embossing folder for texture and added a heat-embossed sentiment from the Messages for Everyday set.
