Taylored Expressions February Release Sneak Peeks Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks! It’s time to get crafty with Easter- and spring-themed projects! The February products will be released Thursday, February 4 @ 7 AM PST!

My first card says “hello” to spring with the cute critters in the Bunny Tails & Happy Trails stamp set with coordinating dies.

I stamped the critters, colored them with Copic markers and cut them with their corresponding dies, adding them to the card front with foam adhesive. I used the Build a Scene – On the Road die set to create the roads. I heat-embossed the sentiment onto the card front.

My second card, featuring the Wishes on a Wire – St. Paddy’s Day stamp set, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day!

I stamped and Copic-colored the scene – isn’t that rabbit cute?! I cut the colored scene with a rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. I used patterned paper from TE 6×6 Paper Pack – For Peep’s Sake for a mat behind the rectangle. I added a grass border, which I Copic-colored to get the right shade, cut with the Wispy Grass Border die. To finish, I added flowers cut with the Little Bits – Flowers & Stems set.

Supplies for Hello Spring card:

Supplies for Lucky card:

Penny Black Butterfly Garden

Today I’m sharing a spring-themed card combining Penny Black die cuts and stamped images.

ButterflyGarden

I cut the butterflies with one of the dies from the #51-132 Flights of Fancy set and colored them with Copic markers. I inked the #40-282 Twirls stamp with Memento markers and stamped onto white cardstock. The sentiment from the #30-283 Snippets set was heat embossed. I dry embossed the background to add texture.

AEI♥U Challenge #24 – Spring

It’s time for another AEI♥U Challenge! This theme this month is spring.

What does spring mean to you? Bright flowers, sunshine, white puffy clouds? Living in the Pacific Northwest, we experience spring, but it’s also often rainy, so I decided to play a bit with this theme.

Here’s my take on the AEI♥U Spring Challenge:

AESpringMay2015

I stamped the Weather It stamp set (with coordinating Elle-ments dies) on patterned paper and on cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from Sending You onto Avery Elle patterned paper to which I adhered clouds, also cut from Avery Elle paper. The hearts and the bow (on the umbrella) were cut with dies included in the Finished Frames Elle-ments set.

There’s no limit to how you can interpret spring for this challenge!

Check out the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team over on the AEI♥U Challenge Blog!  You’ll also find the InLinkz tool to link up YOUR take on the challenge – we’d love to see your beautiful work in our gallery! There are two $25 Avery Elle Gift Certificates up for grabs for the two best entries!  You have until 12:01 AM on May 27, 2015 to link up your take on the challenge!

Hey Chickie!

Today, I’m sharing two Easter-themed CAS cards made with Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts and stamped sentiment. For both cards (same design, different colors), I die cut the eggs with the More Than Jellybeans Confetti Cuts set and nestled them into the Easter basket (cut on my Silhouette). The sentiment from Carton Cuties was stamped onto a partially cut banner from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts set.

EasterBasket

For the first card I used a patterned paper background to add variety and cut the eggs from matching cardstock colors.

For the second card, I used the smooshing ink technique to create marble-colored eggs.

EasterBasket2

I dry-embossed the background to give some texture to the card. Because the basket was white, I heat-embossed the sentiment on colored cardstock.
