Hello Summer – TE Share Joy Challenge #41

I’m playing along with Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #41.

I used the sketch and the colors to create a summer-themed card:

I used the Eventful – Pool Party die to do the “heavy lifting” of my design. The big “hello” from Bold Brushstrokes was heat-embossed on the Candy Corn cardstock rectangle. To embellish, I couldn’t resist using another pair of Little Bits – Flip Flops on this card (I’ve used these on half a dozen cards this summer!).

I used the sketch (rotated 90 degrees) to create a CAS Birthday shaker card.

I took my color cues from the patterned paper background (TE 6×6 Paper Pack – Rainbow Brights). I framed the Happy Birthday Banner (which is actually sitting on top of an Acrylic Sheet) with a frame cut with the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 set. I embellished the scene with the Little Bits – Balloons to which I added strings from the Party Time set.

I’m playing along with Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #39.

TE Share Joy Challenge #39I used the sketch to create a CAS summer-themed card showcasing the Summer Nights patterned paper. (I used this same paper on another project just last week.)

I cut equal-sized strips of three of the paper patterns in the pack. I heat-embossed a sentiment created with the Little Bits of Summer stamp set onto a strip of the same size in Blue Corn cardstock.

To finish, I added the die-cut Little Bits – Flip Flops to the focal circle.

Headed Out to Surf!

It’s time to say “Aloha” to the Taylored Expressions June 2016 Release! All of the products that we have been sharing this week are now available in the TE store!

Before you head off to shop, I have one more project to show you! My card showcases On the Road – Surf Bus along with the On the Line Beach Cutting Plate.

There are so many “goodies” in the On the Line Beach Cutting Plate with which to embellish a scene! I added a sentiment from the Simply Stamped – Pineapple set, which I stamped onto a cloud cut with the Cloud Duo die set.

Green Acres is the Place to Be!

Farm living is the life for me! (I’ve got the theme song for the 1960s tv show “Green Acres” stuck in my head!) Welcome to Day 3 of the Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks! The wait if almost over! June products will be released tomorrow – Thursday, June 9 @ 7 AM PST!

Today my projects feature farms and dogs. Meet Max – an adorable Labrador – he’s one of two new pups on the block at Taylored Expressions.

I stamped Max with the new Taylored Expressions Oreo hybrid ink, colored him with Copic markes and cut him with his corresponding die. I embellished the scene with die cuts created with the Doghouse Accessories and Build a Doghouse sets. To complete the scene, I added a backdrop cut with the Build a Scene – Rolling Hills set, which I dry-embossed with the Chevron folder.

My second card features the previously released Green Acres set that now has a corresponding die set. I stamped the cow, pig and chicken with the new Taylored Expressions Oreo hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers and cut with the corresponding dies.

I embellished the scene with die cuts created with Little Bits – Windmill and Build a Barn. I added a backdrop cut with the Build a Scene – Rolling Hills set to which I attached a fence cut with Build a Scene – Farm Fence.
