Poppystamps: Merry

Today I’m sharing another card as part of the “blog blitz” celebrating the brand-new Poppystamps collection of 74 dies and 20 cling stamps.

Poppystamps: Merry

On my CAS holiday card in traditional colors, I combined the small poinsettia die with the cursive Merry die. For the two smaller flowers, I simply left off the largest, outermost flower – the die cuts the center, three flower layers, and a leaf. I cut the merry die several times in Parchment and once in Squash cardstock, then I adhered the layers together, in order to give more dimension to the sentiment. I use Ranger Glossy Accents – it dries fast and clear.

I’m giving away the cursive Merry die – to enter the giveaway, comment on my post over on the Poppystamps blog. While you’re there, leave a comment (unless you’ve already done so) on the other blog posts that are part of the “blog blitz.” You have until September 20th to leave comments for your chance to win.

Supplies:

Poppystamps: Woodland Fawn

I shared my Poppystamps project using the new Woodland Fawn die in this post. I couldn’t resist playing with the die some more, pairing it with another die from the brand-new collection of 74 dies and 20 cling stamps.

The diamond background is subtle but makes the card so elegant. I carefully adhered the background to a cardstock base with Glossy Accents, placing a drop on each of the diamond points and along the edge.

For the center “ornament” I placed the fawn die inside a circle die, using washi tape to keep them together, and cut Juniper cardstock. I then adhered the metallic fawn, which I’d cut separately, inside the circle, adding its scarf to the top.

You have until September 20th to comment on all of the new release aka “blog blitz” posts on the Poppystamps blog to win a die or stamp. I’ll be back tomorrow with another new release project that I’ll be sharing on the Poppystamps blog.

Neat & Tangled Merry & Bright

It’s been a fabulous release week at Neat & Tangled! Today, I’m sharing two cards created with the Merry & Bright stamp set.

Neat & Tangled Merry & Bright

For my first card, I heat embossed the ornaments on bright-colored cardstock with silver embossing powder. I heat embossed the ornament tops on white cardstock that I fussy cut and adhered to the tops of the ornaments. I threaded silver cord through holes I punched from the ornament tops. The sentiment was heat embossed as well.

For my second card, I stamped the swoop, the ornament hangers and tops, and the sentiment from the Just for You set in Versafine Smoky Gray ink. I then sponged on pigment ink with a mask, which I created with a circle punch.

Check out inspiration from the design team over on the Neat & Tangled Blog. The September release stamp sets are now on sale!

Neat & Tangled Thankful

Welcome to Day Four of the Neat & Tangled September Release! Today, I’m sharing a card created with the fun Thankful set.

Neat & Tangled Thankful

I stamped the turkey several times on patterned paper, then fussy cut the layers and adhered them to a turkey that had been stamped on the circle base. The cute Pilgrim hat was stamped on patterned paper and fussy cut as well. Patterned papers are from the Echo Park Reflections Fall collection.

Head on over to the Neat & Tangled Blog to see the rest of the Design Team projects and to enter the giveaway for this set!! The September release stamp sets go on sale tomorrow, September 13.

Grayson Card Drive

I made this card for Grayson and his brother Aydan with the help of some friends, who supplied the stamp set and the twine, at a crafty retreat I attended this past weekend.

Grayson Card Drive

I used the Avery Elle What’s Up? set combined with Memory Box die cut letters for a colorful “hello” card. The twine is from Timeless Twine. I’ve never used their product before, and I really liked how easily it tied. This is a large card – 4″ wide by 7″ tall.
