Color Throwdown #342

I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown #342.

I was inspired by the colors and the balloons!

The Avery Elle Balloons die set includes a variety of balloon sizes, as well as the asterisk-shaped confetti. The “celebrate” sentiment is from the Avery Elle Bunting set. There’s a stamp set that coordinates with the Balloons dies, which I unfortunately don’t own. So to create the balloon strings, I used the bunting string from the Bunting die set, along with the bows in that set.

Supplies:

Reverse Confetti – Color Throwdown #321

Today I’m sharing a card created with a Reverse Confetti Confetti Cut and stamp set sentiment for the Color Throwdown #321 Challenge.

I was totally intrigued by this color combination – it’s not one that I would have thought of on my own, which is one of the things that make these challenges so fun!

I used the Reverse Confetti Circle Garland to cut six garlands in the brown cardstock, three in the brushed silver and three in the brushed gold. I glued the metallic garlands to the dark brown ones for some depth.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Tinsel ‘N Trim set.

Hope your holiday preparations are going smoothly and that your tinsel isn’t in a tangle!

Seattle Skyline – Miss You Card

Today, I’m sharing a card inspired by the CASE Study Challenge #196 with the colors from Color Throwdown #297.

Seattle Skyline - Miss You Card

I’ve had this Seattle skyline die, purchased at Impress, a local stamping store, for quite awhile. I had my son, who is in Boulder for the summer, in mind when I crafted the card. It is sunny in Seattle in the summer. 🙂

Supplies: Neat and Tangled Sunburst and Everyday Labels stamps

Color Throwdown Butterfly

I’m sharing a card created for the Color Throwdown #293 challenge.

Color Throwdown ButterflyThe In Detail post I’ve been working on for the CLASSroom at Ellen Hutson’s includes a review of the Stephanie Barnard Butterfly Triplits Die Set (as well as the Flowers set). After seeing the fun colors for this challenge, I created a card featuring one of the die-cut butterflies. I framed the butterfly in an InstaFrame. The inside area of the MFT die was a tad small for the butterfly, so I used a square die to punch out a bigger background. I finished the card off with a sentiment from WPlus9.
