Summer Card Camp 2011

As the Online Card Classes Summer Card Camp 2 kicks off tomorrow, I’m sharing a card I made based on one by Jennifer McGuire from Summer Card Camp 2011. When I took that class two years ago, I owned only a few stamps, one ink pad, and I had no idea what I was getting into! When I saw Jennifer’s card at the time, I had absolutely no idea how to make it and certainly didn’t own the tools or stamps to make it.

I stamped watercolor paper with the Out of Print background stamp, die cut into hearts, and then watercolored them with Distress Inks.

One of my favorite aspects of the Summer Card Camp classes are the fabulous color combinations that I wouldn’t necessarily consider on my own. Jennifer’s card was colored with blues and greens. I chose a variation of another color scheme shared in the class for my card.

Can’t wait for the class to start! Have a great day!

  1. This is gorgeous, Jean! I love your color combo, your choice of stamps and your embossing is just perfect! I’m sure you’ll be all set tomorrow…I can’t wait to see what you create! See you there 🙂

  2. WOW! I had no idea that you were so “new” to creating….especially with your amazing talent! I guess you’re a “Natural” and I’ll bet you NOW have a whole lot more stamps and all the tool we all know and love!!

It’s so wonderful that you feel in love with cardmaking, because you are fabulous at it and this is a perfect example.

LOVE IT!! See you in Camp!! 🙂
