SCC2: Week Two, Day One

It’s a new week over at the Online Card Classes Summer Card Camp 2, which means new sketches and a new color combination!

I’m sharing a CASE of the card shown by Kristina Werner from today’s lesson. I haven’t made a lot of circle cards, so this was fun to craft.

SCC2: Week Two, Day One

On Kristina’s card, the center circle was stamped onto watercolor paper and inked with Distress Inks. I took a shortcut by stamping onto a patterned paper. Kristina used a different set of MME patterned papers, which I really liked. But if you could see my stash of 6″ x 6″ pads, you’d understand my need to spend some of it down!

Happy Monday!

  1. I love how you used the sketch and color combo on your card, Jean! Your vellum tag and embossed sentiment really pop against the patterns…Really gorgeous card!

I was so happy to see that you are a Guest Designer this week! Your card is amazing, as always…love your paper piecing and design! Thanks so much for the step-by-step tutorial for your card!

  2. I love this, Jean!! I agree–I’ve got a lot of paper to use up, and this sketch is perfect for that! And I LOVED your hot air balloon cards today in class. Such a beautiful CAS look.

  3. Wonderful card! This was my favorite new sketch and I was thrilled to get a card done, especially since the dogs, are not into me crafting today and the little one, ran off with one of my tape runner….she thought it looked like something fun to chew up! LOL!!

Ahhh..the life and love of having a Puppy….but she’s so worth it!! See you in Camp Tomorrow! Loved your DT card!

  4. Jean – congrats on being in the spotlight and a guest designer. I was not surprised to see it was you. I too cased Kristina’s card. I must say that the embossing on the vellum is a bit fragile. But I only mailed mine to the other room to my husband!
