Today, I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card crafted with die-cuts cut from the wool felt at Taylored Expressions.
This felt cuts like butter in my Big Shot! The colors are so rich and vibrant. I cut a variety of floral elements (stems, blossoms and centers) from Lip Gloss, Butter, Persimmon, Split Pea, and Carrot and the terra cotta planter from Latte.
I debossed the background with the Weathered embossing folder after stamping it with a sentiment in the Simply Succulents Stamp & Die Combo set.
I used a liquid glue that was designed for foam and felt to glue the pieces together. Because the felt sticks to itself, a lot of glue is not required.
I’ve got a long list of felt colors on my “to buy” list!
Supplies:
I would love to know what type of glue you use for foam and this felt? I have had no luck with the foam sticking permanently. Love the card, you have a great eye for color!
Hi Susan, I used Aleene’s brand glue. I’ll try it on foam and let you know what I find out. Like you, I’ve had difficulty finding a glue that strongly adheres to foam.
What a lot of fabulous texture you have created here Jean. The felt blooms on the woodgrain texture just rocks!
What a beautiful card! LOVE the colorful felt pieces you used. A very pretty bright, happy card!
Those flowers are fantastic! Love the layers and the felt!
