Hello! Today I’m sharing a card showcasing the Penny Black 30-344 Sunny Wishes stamp set. I created a “sister” version of this card (similar design but different technique) for the Penny Black Simplicity site. I hope you’ll head over and take a look.
I heat-embossed the floral image with white embossing powder twice (rotating it) and applied Distress Inks in yellow, coral and pink.
I cut the panel and attached it to a background which was dry-embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder. The sentiment from 30-358 Happy Snippets was heat-embossed on black cardstock.
Simply stunning Jean. Those ink colors are so fabulous.
Just so striking and beautiful! The inking is flawless!
I loved this so much on instagram that I had to come over and pin it as a reminder for another card I’m making. Such a pretty idea! 🙂
Which Distress colors did you use, Jean? Love the blending!!
Hi Megan, Thanks! I used Squeezed Lemonade on top and Picked Raspberry on the bottom. The in between is Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral.
This is outstanding! Love your blending of such beautiful colors, and that stamp is beautiful, as well. Great card!
Beautiful card Jean. The colouring is fantastic, and the embossing as well. Stunning work!
Did you use the Distress inks before you stamped the image, and which color inks did you use? Thank you.
This card is beautiful.
Hi Sue, I first heat-embossed the images (same image heat-embossed twice) and then put on the Distress Inks – Squeezed Lemonade on top and Picked Raspberry on the bottom. The in-between is Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral.
Absolutely stunning!
