Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS fall-themed card created with Penny Black stamps.
This card came about as a result of a happy accident. Using my MISTI, I stamped the tree 40-417 Regalia with a variety of Distress Ink colors and then again with VersaMark ink, which I heat-set. The heat-set image allowed me to stencil light blue ink onto the tree with a sponge applicator. (I created a stencil by cutting a circle shape out of vellum.)
After stenciling, I stamped a sentiment from #30-345 Soar and cut the image with a rectangular die, adhering the panel to a wood-grain card base.
Last week, I shared a card on the Simplicity Blog using non-holiday dies to create a bold and modern Christmas creation. I hope you’ll head over there and take a look.
This is STUNNING!! I love how you created the background and love the rich, warm colors of that autumn tree.
SO classy and gorgeous, Jean!! Love this Fall card!
Perfect image for the MISTI, I love the variation in colors!
Oh this is lovely, that light blue sponging behind the tree adds such depth.
