Hello! Today, I am sharing two projects created with this month’s Small Die of the Month die set featuring Layered Blooms ($12.50 with US shipping included in the cost!). There are many options with these dies. I stayed true to my CAS style while creating my blooms (with just two or three layers) but there are enough dies to create blooms with many more layers.
To begin, I colored white cardstock with a variety of Distress Oxide inks and then cut pieces from that cardstock. I particularly liked the combination of Festive Berries, Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade, and Mowed Grass (for the leaves). I like the variation that this method offers.
I assembled the pieces with liquid adhesive.
I applied a light layer of Tumbled Glass ink on to white cardstock on which I stamped the sentiments in black ink.
For both cards, I arranged my floral clusters around the sentiment. I used the Press ‘N’ Seal method to lift the clusters off the sentiment panel. I added adhesive to the backs of the pieces and placed the clusters back on to the sentiment panel.
Thanks for stopping by!
Darling cards, Jean. That is a good price for sure.
Great inspiration for that kit! I am so looking forward to getting mine. Great idea to color white card stock and then cut!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy seeing your page pop up in my email! Every card is lovely and inspires me. Thank you for sharing your talents and ideas with us!
