Floral Hello – Die-cut Inlaid Technique

Hello! Today I am sharing a floral hello card featuring Spellbinders die sets with which I have used the inlaid die-cutting technique. It’s one of my favorite techniques.

  • I cut white cardstock and cardstock colored with Distress Oxide inks with the Lovely Lilac and Petal’d Poetry die sets designed by Stephanie Low.
  • I inlaid the colored die-cut pieces into the white cardstock die-cut “frame.”
  • I taped the pieces into the frame from the back and adhered the assembled die-cut on top of the solid die-cut piece.
  • I heat-embossed the Altenew Mini Hello sentiment on to Gina K cardstock and added the assembled blooms to the card base. I was going for a tropical feel when choosing the card base color.

I’m delighted you dropped by!

  1. beautiful….spellbinders always had that extra bit with the embossing. Enjoying seeing their smaller dies through your fab cards.

  2. That is a great technique – thanks for reminding me and your card is the inspiration to try it again. That close up shows how perfect your white embossing was, no scattered powder! Love that card.
