Paper Smooches Challenge – Anything Cold

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter card created for the Paper Smooches Challenge – “Anything Cold”! I’ve been working to embrace the season rather than move on to spring! I’m even cross-stitching snowmen.

  • I began with the snowman’s hat, inlaying the four colors into the frame. I then constructed the scarf and the snowman’s body.
  • I cut the snowflakes from white and colored cardstock. Note to myself – the snowflake die set has five dies. However the center of the largest snowflake also cuts the small snowflake.
  • I stamped the sentiment with blue ink and cut the sentiment with a circle die.
  • My original background was gray. The gray went with the other colors, but it didn’t energize the card at all. I swapped it out for the patterned paper after I had the card assembled!
