Hello! I am delighted to be participating in a blog hop sharing projects created with the Spellbinders February 2021 Club Subscriptions. You should have reached me from the blog of Kathy Clement. (The entire list of participants is included at the end of my post.) For the hop, I created two number/date-based cards using this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “Birthday Wishes for Everyone.” I shared two other cards created with the kit in this post.
To celebrate this release, Spellbinders is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 3 lucky blog readers – selected from the comments on the Spellbinders blog. Giveaway closes on Sunday, February 14, 11:59 pm MST. The winner will be announced in the blog hop post the following Tuesday. The winner is responsible for shipping cost, duties and taxes. Please note: store credit (gift certificate) cannot be applied to Club Subscriptions; store credit can be applied to shop past Club products, Club extras, and regular releases.
My first card is a 28th birthday card on which I die-cut the numbers from strips of orange, teal, and blue cardstock.
- I used a die in the Holiday Sentiments Series 2 set to cut the strips of colored cardstock. I taped the pieces together on the back and die-cut the numbers.
- I paired the numbers with the die-cut “Happy” from the Large Die of the Month set and a glimmer-foiled sentiment from the More Sentiments set.
- I added the elements to a background dry-embossed with the Stargazer folder.
- For embellishment, I added balloons cut with a die in the Sunday Drive set.
The Large Die of the Month set works for a number of occasions, including graduation! I created a grad card customized with school colors of navy and gold.
- I added the numbers die-cut from navy cardstock to a Brush Gold background dry-embossed with the Stargazer folder.
- I die-cut the “Congrats” twice (for extra depth) using a die in the Mix & Match Sentiments set.

The birthday card is amazing. Love the strips glued together for the numbers. Really puts a pop of color. To be 28 again . . . .
I just received this large die of the month set and I’m getting really inspired by all the designs I’ve seen. I love the look of the numbers with strips of colored cardstock. That will be my 1st design.
The embossed stars background is extra cute and festive. Nice idea.
I just received my large die of the month. I can’t wait to put it to use. This is such a great die! Love the card; nice, simple, & colorful.
Great color use idea. I like the embossing.
Such cute cards and another great die cut from the strips of card stock. Excellent — I knew I ordered those strip dies for a good reason. Seems like everyone is using strips of paper to create so much beautiful color on cards. I know we could use a paper cutter but this is so much easier and faster and can craft more than cut strips of paper. (LOL). Love your cards.
Love the cards. The bright color make it stand out.
Loving these numbers dies, so many great ideas. Really like the star background also.
Those big numbers look great with the small scripts!
Love your “Happy” Cards.
Super cards – loving these great big numbers and can’t wait for my set to arrive!
TFS!
I LOVE the way you used the lettering and number dies!
What a cool grad card!
I love the bright cheery colors & those great big numbers!!
The striped numbers are a great idea to make the card festive. Love the colors too. And, by the way, you have a beautiful Golden Retriever.
BEAUTIFUL WORK with those FUN NUMBERS! ;)<3

Awesome creations, I especially love the diagonal strips of color for the big number!
Simple yet so effective. Great design idea.

Love your cards – bright cheerful and fun. Love the look of the stripes of color on the numbers – something I will be trying very soon. Can’t wait to receive this die and have lots of fun with it. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent and ideas with us. 🙂
Simply gorgeous!
Hello Jean. The bold stripes on the numbers make a very vivid card. It is a very effective technique and I very much appreciate your example that I can follow in the future. The colors were great.
I love these big numbers. They make such awesome birthday cards. And it is very cool how you made your striped paper and die cut them.
Two great cards, Jean! Looking forward to getting my dies – thanks for the inspiration!!
