Hello! I’m delighted to share a Mother’s Day card (Sunday, May 12, 2024 in the United States) featuring the Spellbinders exquisite die set Peony Celebration, designed by Yana Smakula as part of her Let’s Celebrate Collection. From its intricate details to its heartfelt sentiment, this card is certain to be appreciated by its recipient.
-
- BetterPress the sentiment in black ink with one of the press plates in the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments set on Waterfall cardstock. Trim to A2 size and add to card base.
- Cut the frame for the peony blooms from Brushed Gold with the Peony Celebration set (twice). Add cardstock behind the frame to hold the inlaid pieces.
- Cut the blooms using the same Peony Celebration die from Snowdrift cardstock. Using a small foam applicator, color the petals with Spun Sugar Oxide ink and inlay the pieces into the frame. Create a second large bloom using the same method.
- Selectively trim parts of the Brushed Gold outline (trimming off leaves).
- Adhere the single bloom to the card base in the upper left section of the card. Add the pair of blooms in front using foam adhesive. Add trimmed foliage as desired.
- Embellish with enamel dots.
Beautiful card and lovely sentiment. How clever the enamel dots match the paper!
Ooo – love the soft pink inlay into the brushed gold, Jean, & your flowers look amazing on the waterfall cardstock!!
Simply gorgeous, Jean.
