Taylored Expressions December Release Sneak Peeks Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks! The December products will be released Thursday, December 10 @ 7 AM PST!

My first project features an image from the Stitch by Stitch stamp set framed with the Embroidery Hoop die.

Jean Manis Taylored Expressions Dec 2015 Release

I created the Embroidery hoop out of Toffee cardstock dry-embossing with the Woodgrain embossing folder. The screw holding the hoop together was cut from gold metallic cardstock.

I stamped the owl by coloring the stamp image with Memento markers – super easy to do! I heat-embossed a sentiment onto the Lollipop cardstock base.

My second card features the Picture Perfect – Valentine framing an image from the Love is an Adventure set.

I stamped the plane and masked the hearts on the stamp image, replacing them with hearts cut with the Skinny Mini Valentine Borders and Little Bits – Love Confetti die cut sets. I Copic-colored the plane. I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Love is an Adventure set onto Earl Grey cardstock.

I created a similar card with the Picture Perfect – Valentine die framing two bugs from the Bugs & Kisses Stamp & Die Combo set.

I stamped the images and Copic-colored them and cut them with their corresponding dies. I heat-embossed a sentiment from the same set on Cookie Monster cardstock.

Reverse Confetti December Creative Blog Hop

BlogHopTitleBar

Welcome to this month’s creative hop which started on the Reverse Confetti blog. You should have made it here from Lisa’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you!

I’m sharing a holiday layout (chronicling our annual trips to a local nursery to shop for our Christmas tree and other holiday items) for which I created embellishments using Reverse Confetti supplies.

JeanRCBlogHopLayout

I printed the journaling with my computer printer, stamped it with a sentiment from Here’s the Story and cut it with the Gift Card Holder die. I cut leaves and holly berries with the Holly Confetti Cuts and added those to the journaling card. To finish, I added snowflakes cut with the two different dies in the Layered Snowflake set.

In addition, I’m sharing some of my favorite Reverse Confetti cards from this past year (hard to choose as I have many favorites)! Click on the links underneath the cards for the original posts.

JEANPizzaMyHeartMON

I Copic-colored the stamped images and cut them with their corresponding dies. I masked one of the sentiments in the We Go Together set on a rectangle cut with a die in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. I dry-embossed a circle cut with a die in the Stitched Circle Stacklets set with the Swiss Hearts embossing folder. I embellished the card with banners cut with the Love & Be Mine Banners and Skinny Mini Valentine Borders die sets. The card base was covered with patterned paper from the 6 x 6 Rainbow Brights Paper Pack.

My second card features a sentiment from We Go Together paired with a Little Bits – Hamburger and Little Bits – French Fries and their Little Bits Spare Parts! The spare parts bring these Little Bits to life. I was grinning the whole time I made this card.

I cut the heat-embossed sentiment with a die in the Stitched Heart Stacklets set which I adhered to a circle cut with the Stitched Circle Stacklets set. The square card base was dry-embossed with the Swiss Hearts embossing folder

Winter Wishes – Memory Box Cabrini Ornament Die

Today I’m sharing a CAS holiday card showcasing the Memory Box Cabrini Ornament die.

Jean Manis Right As Rain

I used the die to cut red, green and brushed silver cardstock, piecing the ornament together. I added a red bow to secure the ornament to the white tag.

Supplies: Memory Box Tiny Bow, American Crafts patterned paper

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #13

I’m playing along with the Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #13.

Here’s my take on the challenge in which I used both the sketch and the colors:

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #13

To begin, I covered the card base with paper from the Build a Scene Christmas paper pack and added a strip of Watermelon cardstock dry-embossed with the On the Spot embossing folder. Next, I cut the tag with a die in the Build a Tag 5 set out of Sugar Cube cardstock and trimmed off the bottom jagged edge.

I cut a circle out of Salt Water Taffy with the Stitched Circle Stacklets set and added hills cut with a die in the Build a Scene – Calendar set. I arranged the hills and cut them with the circle die. I added the Little Bits – Reindeer cut from Chocolate Truffle cardstock and a tree cut with the Build a Scene – Winter Trees set, which I dry-embossed with the Snowfall embossing folder. I heat-embossed a sentiment from In & Out Christmas on Granny Smith cardstock and cut it with the Stitched Banner Stacklets set.
