ColourQ Challenge #287

I’m playing along with colourQ challenge #287 with a CAS card created with Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts.

ColourQApril2015

I cut the red patterned paper arrows and the ampersand with the Documented Confetti Cuts set. The sentiment is from Arrows ‘n Elements. For some textural interest, I dry-embossed the bottom gray panel.

Stenciled Mother’s Day Card

Today, I’m sharing a CAS card suitable for Mother’s Day (or a birthday) featuring the Penny Black 25-018 Patina stencil.

StenciledFlowersCard

I stamped the sentiment from 30-297 Sprinkles and Smiles before cutting the cardstock with a rectangle die. Next I applied the the embossing paste, which I colored with dye ink, in two sessions. I started with the flower in the lower-left corner.

I adhered the stencil to the craft mat over the cardstock panel, using washi tape to hold the stencil, as well as to mask off the areas to which I didn’t want to apply any paste.

Once the paste was applied, I pulled off the stencil and rinsed it, and I let the paste dry for about thirty minutes. Then I repeated the process in the right-hand corner with a small flower.

Avery Elle Make a Wish

Today, I’m sharing a watercolor card featuring the Avery Elle Storybook stamp set with coordinating dies. Have you seen this month’s AEI♥U Challenge? There’s still time to play along!

AEAprilChallenge

I stamped the balloons and mouse, colored them with a combination of watercolor pencils and Distress inks, and then used the coordinating dies to cut them. I stamped the balloon strings directly onto a square panel that I washed with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Combining pencils and Distress Inks is one of my favorite watercolor methods.

You’ll find the InLinkz tool to link up YOUR take on the challenge on the AEI♥U Challenge Blog! There are two $25 Avery Elle Gift Certificates up for grabs for the two best entries!  You have until 12:01 AM on April 26, 2015 to link up your take on the challenge!

I stamped the popsicles with images from the Let’s Chill set and cut them with their coordinating Confetti Cuts. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped and heat-embossed. I used the Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts die to add some whimsy to the layers.

Reverse Confetti Blog Hop

The wait is over! REVERSE CONFETTI has just released FIVE stamp sets, EIGHT Confetti Cuts and “Piña Colada” Quick Card Panels in the April “Special Release”!!

The hop started on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Lisa’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

For my first card, I stamped one of the pineapples from the Pineapples Aplenty set several times, adding the pineapple tops, and cut them with the coordinating Confetti Cuts die. I added a sentiment pair with Fancy Word Coordinates and the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts to create a colorful thank you card.

My second card features one of the sentiments from Shine From Within stamped with ombré ink. I cut the stamped sentiment with the rectangle die in the Documented Confetti Cuts set that I then cut with two of the dies from the Office Edges Confetti Cuts. The stars were cuts with the Shakers ‘n Frames Confetti Cuts set.
