Best Dad Ever

Today, I’m sharing a CAS Father’s Day card created with a variety of items in my stash.

FathersDayShirt

My youngest son is home this week between college terms, and he folded the origami shirt for me using an online tutorial with some scrapbook paper I’ve had for several years. I added a tie cut with the Penny Black Dapper [#51-049] die cut. (I trimmed the tie a bit and tucked it under the shirt collar.) The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s And Many More set.

CAS(E) this Sketch #127

I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #127 – another terrific and versatile sketch!

Here’s my take on the sketch:

CaseSketchAnchor

I used Reverse Confetti’s Peacock Pretties to create a tone-on-tone pattern on blue and gray cardstock, which I the cut into squares with a Nestabilities die.  I cut two anchors (for additional depth) with the Paper Smooches die. (I have several anchor dies; this one was the perfect size.) The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s Simply Wonderful set.

Lawn Fawn Life is Good

Today I’m sharing a card for the occasion on which you need to say “Sorry”! The Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamp set is one I grab as soon as the sun is out! So many great images.

Lawn Fawn Life is Good

I stamped and colored the crabs with Copic markers, and then I cut them out with their corresponding die. The background was dry embossed with the Tim Holtz Waves folder. I used twine to finish it off.

Reverse Confetti Peacock Pretties

Today, I’m sharing a CAS card created with Reverse Confetti’s Peacock Pretties (one of the first Reverse Confetti sets!) and the recently released Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts.

Canvas

I stamped images from Peacock Pretties on colored cardstock with matching inks, to create tone-on-tone patterned papers. I used two of the Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts dies to cut the banners from the cardstock. For the banner on the far left, I cut the paper on the backside so that the banner would point the other direction. The 4″ square white cardstock panel was stamped with the sentiment in Peacock Pretties. After adhering the banners, I attached the panel to a 4 1/4″ black cardstock base.

ColourQ #292

I created a CAS Thank You card created with die cuts for the ColourQ #292 Challenge.

CQC292

I cut the letters with the Lawn Cuts alphabet dies and placed them onto the colored squares, cut with one of the smaller square dies in a Spellbinders Nestabilities set. I cut the letters from all four of the colors and played around with combinations of letters and squares until choosing this one. The stitched rectangle was cut with a Lil’ Inker die.
