Happy Hedgehog – Grown with Love

Hello! Today I am sharing a Copic-colored hedgehog card created with Penny Black supplies.

I stamped the hedgehog (isn’t he the cutest?!) from 30-708 Plant Joy and colored the image with Copic markers.
I stamped and fussy-cut the same image on a sticky note to mask the image. With the mask in place, I applied Distress Oxide inks for the sky and the grass.
I stamped the sentiment from 30-713 Grown with Love directly on the image.
I cut a frame using a die in the 51-636 Dainty Dashes Stackers and cut the image to the same size. I glued the frame to the image.
I added the framed image to a background covered with patterned paper from the Great Escape pad.

Spellbinders Foiled Nautical Thank You

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS card showcasing a foiled sentiment from the Spellbinders Stylish Script Collection.

I paired the foiled Thank You sentiment with ovals cut using dies in the Elegant Twist Ovals set. I previously shared a card created with this same die set here.

To create a nautical-themed Thank You:

Foil the sentiment on Whip Cream cardstock in Gold.
Cut the Elegant Twist Ovals frames from Brush Gold cardstock.
With dies in the set, cut an oval from Whip Cream cardstock; adhere to the back of the larger gold twist oval.
With a die in the set, cut the foiled sentiment cardstock; adhere the smaller gold twist oval on top.
Add the ovals to a card base covered with Carta Bella paper; add nautical stickers (Paper House Productions “At the Beach”) for embellishment.

Note: the card is slightly larger than A2.

Spellbinders – Destination Japan Collection

Hello! Today I am sharing an easy-to-create, CAS card showcasing the Spellbinders Pagoda die set, part of the Destination Japan collection by Lene Lok. I shared another card from this collection here.

I foiled a sentiment from the More Sentiments set in Matte Gold on Whip Cream cardstock and cut as a thin strip.
The Pagoda set includes four pieces. I cut the body and top of the pagoda with the outline and detail dies from Brush Gold cardstock.
I cut the body and top again with just the outline dies from Candy Apple cardstock.
I cut thin strips of Whip Cream cardstock which I adhered behind the windows of the pagoda.
I adhered the gold top and body to the red carstock and attached the pieces together.
The card base background is a sheet from the MFT Woodgrain Whimsy paper pad.
I added the sentiment to the lower portion of the pagoda.

Penny Black Groovy Greenery

Hello! Today I am sharing an encouragement card created with Penny Black stamp sets from their new “Refreshing” release. You can see another card created with supplies from this release here.

To begin, I stamped the 30-712 Words of Encouragement sentiment on to white cardstock.
With a mask, I applied Distress Oxide inks at a horizon line for the sky and the ground. I use a strip of vellum for the sharp line. I cut the panel with a rectangle die.
Using the 30-701 Groovy Greenery stamp set, I stamped the vases with pigment ink that I heat-embossed with clear powder. I fussy-cut the vases.
For the plants, I applied green inks to white cardstock with a sponge dauber that I then stamped the plant images from the 30-701 Groovy Greenery set with green ink. I fussy cut the plants.
I assembled the vases and plants.
I dry-embossed the card base with the TE Weathered embossing folder. I matted the stamped panel with a slightly larger white rectangle.
I added one plant with dot adhesive and the other with foam adhesive.
