Easy Circle Punch Card Round Two

Hello! As I mentioned in this post, my family is in the process of downsizing and I’m papercrafting in our eating area (which was where I worked when I first started out). Since the supplies for the circle punch card were within easy reach, I created another card with the same supplies.

Easy Circle Punch Card Round Two

  • I used a ruler to draw a 1/2″ line on the patterned paper. I punched half circles by placing the top of the circle punch on the line. (See photo below.)
  • I paired the half circles in a visually pleasing manner and adhered the pairs on to 1″ squares of white cardstock.
  • I adhered the 1″ squares on to a 4″ square panel. I used patterned paper from the same Echo Park pad for the card base (measuring 4 1/4″ square).
  • I stamped the Pinkfresh Studio sentiment with SU Pacific Point ink and cut it with a circle die. I cut a slightly larger circle from patterned paper for a mat.

Inspired By Graphics on a Tissue Box

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS Get Well card inspired by graphics on a tissue box created with Paper Smooches supplies.

  • With the Paper Smooches Flowers 2 die set, I cut the flowers and centers from SU Smoky Slate and white cardstock. I cut the leaves from SU Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
  • I adhered the centers to the blooms and the blooms and leaves to the FSJ Oatmeal Cookie rectangle panel with dot adhesive.
  • I heat-embossed the Lovely Thoughts sentiment on SU Gorgeous Grape cardstock and cut it with a circle die. I used a slightly larger die to cut a mat in white cardstock.
  • With the sentiment circle and blooms adhered to the card, I felt the card needed something more. I added 4mm clear droplets for texture and additional visual interest.
  • I added the assembled panel to a card base with a linen texture.

The Smallest Things

Hello! Today I’m sharing a CAS inspirational/friendship card combining die-cutting, dry-embossing, and heat-embossing. Let’s take a look.

The Smallest Things

  • I die-cut the Sketched Blooms from both white cardstock and colored cardstock. I applied tape on the back of the diecuts to hold the colored centers.
  • I dry-embossed the blue rectangle background (cut with one of the Matting Basics dies) with the Inspire embossing folder. I added another rectangle in gray as a mat.
  • I heat-embossed the sentiment from the Pinkfresh Studio “My Favorite Things to Say” set and cut it with one of the dies in the Matting Basics sets.
  • I assembled the card on linen-textured card base. The sentiment is adhered with foam adhesive. The dry-embossed rectangle, its frame, and the blooms are attached with dot adhesive.

Easy Circle Punch Card

Hello! Today I am sharing an easy CAS card made with a minimum number of tools and supplies. I’m in the process of packing up my papercrafting supplies and tools, as my husband and I are downsizing. I’m organizing and decluttering as part of the boxing up process. In doing so, I have come across a number of things that I have forgotten about, and I have also been revisiting favorites. The notebooks I have created from the Online Card Classes lessons are on the list of favorites.

My card today is inspired by one Kristina Werner shared in the Summer Card Camp in 2011 (my first ever card class, which I took as I was just starting out as a cardmaker).

Easy Circle Punch Card

This card requires few supplies and tools to create. I used a 1″ circle punch, patterned paper from my stash (papers used are from an Echo Park pad), and a sentiment from the Pinkfresh Studio “My Favorite Things to Say” set.

To align the circles, I used grid paper (Stampin’ Up pad), embroidery floss, a ruler, and washi tape (my favorite brand is Doodlebug).

I added the circles to the kraft paper with dot adhesive. I used a now-retired MFT tag set to die-cut the sentiment panel. I often use my tag and banner dies to cut rectangle shapes.

Some Bunny Loves You – Die-cut Easter Card

Hello! I couldn’t resist playing again with the Spring Animals die set to create another Easter card. (You can see my first card using the set here.)

Some Bunny Loves You - Die-cut Easter Card

    • I created the sentiment on my computer and printed it on the Bazzill card stock.
    • I used a 4″ x 5 1/4″ die from a now-retired MFT Blueprints set to cut the sentiment panel.
    • I cut and assembled the bunnies and cut the eggs from SU Pineapple Punch, SU Melon Mambo, and SU Gorgeous Grape. I used the Picture Book Love Bear die to cut the heart from SU Poppy Parade.
    • After assembling the bunnies, I added them to the lavender panel with foam adhesive.
    • I dry-embossed the white card base with the SU Subtle embossing folder for a linen-like texture.
