CAS(E) This Sketch #116

Believe it or not – this card for the CAS(E) This Sketch #116 challenge was going to include a butterfly! But once I started pulling out my dies, I realized that the house die from Penny Black 51-055 Shades would cut inside the Penny Black 51-057 Polaroid die.

I cut the house within the Polaroid die, I also cut it again in kraft cardstock and red cardstock. I cut the Polaroid die in both white and light blue cardstock, and then I inlaid the pieces. I actually added a second layer of the house and heart so that there would be some dimension. I finished off the card with a sentiment stamped from the Penny Black 30-285 You & Me set and some twine.

Today, I have a card to share for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge where I’m a guest artist.

For my card, I paired die-cut stars with a heat-embossed Stampin’ Up sentiment.

I was inspired by the geometrical feeling of the crisscrossed “x” shapes. I cut the stars in three different shades of blue to create an ombré effect.

I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #99 with a card created using Reverse Confetti stamps and dies.

I stamped several of the flower images from the Petals ‘n Posies set and cut them with the corresponding Confetti Cuts set. I used a sentiment from Sweet Thing.

Even though it’s November, and I’ve been making a lot of holiday cards, I decided to take a departure with this card by stamping with my bright-color inks!

Today, I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #95 with some products from the Essentials by Ellen release designed by Julie Ebersole exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.

My card uses dies from Home & Hearth paired with a sentiment from Christmas Scribbles and the smoke from Cozy Christmas.
