How You Doin’?

Today, I’m sharing a CAS spring-themed card created with Avery Elle stamps and dies.

Avery Elle How You Doin'?

I paired a sentiment from the Simply Said You set with images from the Storybook set. I stamped and heat-embossed the duck and bird on watercolor paper and colored with Distress Inks before cutting with their corresponding dies. The background was created with Distress Inks, which I applied by creating a mask from vellum, which I cut with a die in the Dotted Borders set. The sentiment was heat-embossed on a panel cut with one of the Double Pierced Rectangle dies, from which I cut out a circle.

Hope your Monday is off to a great start! Spring is just around the corner!

I used the sketch to create an Easter card:

I interpreted the circle and banner loosely, using two eggs from the Easter Wishes set heat-embossed on watercolor paper for the circle in the sketch. The eggs were watercolored with Distress Inks and cut with the corresponding Egg Stacklets dies. I used just one banner with the heat-embossed sentiment, also in the Easter Wishes set, rather than two banners, as in the sketch. I used the Stitched Scallop Edger die to cut the white scallop tucked under patterned paper from the Build a Scene Paper Pack.

The card base was dry-embossed with the Butterfly Swirls folder.

Lawn Fawn Happy Easter

With Valentine’s Day now in the rear-view mirror, I’m sharing an Easter card created with several Lawn Fawn sets.

The Pretty Pink Posh Storybook frame makes it easy to coordinate stamped images without building large scenes. The bunnies are actually from a winter Lawn Fawn set.

Supplies:

Penny Black Simplicity Triple Love Die – 2 Versions

Today, I’m sharing a two Valentine’s Day cards featuring the Penny Black die 51-187 Triple Love.

The first is CAS (and quick-to-create) card:

Penny Black Simplicity Valentine

I cut the overlay from silver paper with the 51-187 Triple Love die and adhered it to a panel, which I had colored with Distress Ink spray and drops of gold spray mist. I added the panel to a dry-embossed card base. Lots of options here – change the background behind the panel, use a different dry-embossed card base, …

The second card is an inlaid shaker card:

I created the background with three strips of pink cardstock from which I cut the Triple Love in the center. I cut the Triple Love piece again from white cardstock and inlaid it into the card panel. I backed the overlay with acetate. I used foam tape (backed with white cardstock) to create a chamber for the sequins. The panel was then adhered to a square card base with foam adhesive.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #22

Today, I’m playing along with the Share Joy Challenge #22 at Taylored Expressions.

I used both the sketch and the inspiration to create an encouragement/friendship card:

The focal point of the card is the die-cut coffee machine created with the Koffee Time Stamp & Die Combo set. The sentiment is from the same set. I used the large tag from Build a Tag 4 for the background. I found patterned papers in my stash for the card base.
