ColourQ Challenge #295

I’m playing along with ColourQ Challenge #295 with a CAS card created with Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts.

June2015ColourQ

With the Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts, I cut two narrow chevrons from navy cardstock and two wider chevrons in the soft pink. I cut the sentiment out of a gold foil paper with the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts set. The pink and navy combination feel preppy to me, and I created the card with a preppy theme in mind.

CAS(E) this Sketch #128

I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #128 for which my starting point was patterned papers from the recently released Echo Park Homegrown Collection.

After establishing a garden theme, I used the Memory Box die to cut a watering can, which I filled with flowers cut with punches and dies in my stash. The Hero Arts sentiment, which I heat embossed, is from a set whose fonts I especially like.

Supplies:

Best Dad Ever

Today, I’m sharing a CAS Father’s Day card created with a variety of items in my stash.

FathersDayShirt

My youngest son is home this week between college terms, and he folded the origami shirt for me using an online tutorial with some scrapbook paper I’ve had for several years. I added a tie cut with the Penny Black Dapper [#51-049] die cut. (I trimmed the tie a bit and tucked it under the shirt collar.) The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s And Many More set.

June Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Have you seen this month’s Sketch for You to Try at Reverse Confetti?

June15

Here’s my take on the sketch featuring a pineapple image from the Pineapples Aplenty set:

June2015SFYTT

I stamped the pineapple and its leaves with Pineapples Aplenty and cut them with their corresponding Confetti Cuts. I used the Scalloped Circle and a circle die from Circles ‘n Scallops to create a background for the pineapple. The multi-colored polkadot panel  and the black-and-white strip are both from the Pina Colada Quick Card Panels set. I stamped a sentiment with images from Sweet Thing and cut it out with a Layered Banner Duo die.

I hope you’ll play along! Head on over to link up your card on the Reverse Confetti Blog for your chance to win a $20 Reverse Confetti gift certificate and the title of ‘Fetti Fave!

CAS(E) this Sketch #127

I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #127 – another terrific and versatile sketch!

Here’s my take on the sketch:

CaseSketchAnchor

I used Reverse Confetti’s Peacock Pretties to create a tone-on-tone pattern on blue and gray cardstock, which I the cut into squares with a Nestabilities die.  I cut two anchors (for additional depth) with the Paper Smooches die. (I have several anchor dies; this one was the perfect size.) The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s Simply Wonderful set.
