Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #23

I’m playing along with Share Joy Challenge #23 at Taylored Expressions.

TEChallenge23

I used the sketch to create an Easter card:

JeanManisTESJC23

I interpreted the circle and banner loosely, using two eggs from the Easter Wishes set heat-embossed on watercolor paper for the circle in the sketch. The eggs were watercolored with Distress Inks and cut with the corresponding Egg Stacklets dies. I used just one banner with the heat-embossed sentiment, also in the Easter Wishes set, rather than two banners, as in the sketch. I used the Stitched Scallop Edger die to cut the white scallop tucked under patterned paper from the Build a Scene Paper Pack.

The card base was dry-embossed with the Butterfly Swirls folder.

Lawn Fawn Happy Easter

With Valentine’s Day now in the rear-view mirror, I’m sharing an Easter card created with several Lawn Fawn sets.

The Pretty Pink Posh Storybook frame makes it easy to coordinate stamped images without building large scenes. The bunnies are actually from a winter Lawn Fawn set.

Taylored Expressions February Release Day

Hello! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions February 2016 Release!  I have one more project to show you featuring the Roly Poly – Duck die.

Taylored Expressions Feb 2016 Release

The base of the Roly Poly Duck is a circle cut with a die in the Stitched Circle Stacklets set. Once I pieced the duck together, I added grass, cut with the Fringe Border, to the card base, which I dry-embossed with the Cloudy Days embossing folder. I added a couple of eggs, which I dry-embossed with the On the Spot folder. I heat-embossed the sentiment from the Easter Wishes set and cut it with a die in the Stitched Banner Stacklets set. These colors make me happy!

Taylored Expressions February Release Sneak Peeks Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks! It’s time to get crafty with Easter- and spring-themed projects! The February products will be released Thursday, February 4 @ 7 AM PST!

You’ll notice a theme with the two cards I’m showing today (both made entirely with die cuts) – sunshine and the outdoors!

Taylored Expressions February 2016 Release

I used the Picture Perfect – Sunny Days die to frame a scene featuring the Little Bits – Birdhouse and Little Bits – Birds dies. The teal blue bird is singing his heart out.

I set my scene against a dry-embossed Walking on Sunshine background and added a picket fence, a cloud, and hearts for visual interest.

My second card highlights the In the Garden die. The die can be used to create either a horizontal or a vertical card. The girl gathering flowers is just adorable.

Again, I set my scene against a dry-embossed Walking on Sunshine background and added banners cut with the Welcome Spring Banner die. A frame, cut with a die in the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate set, finished it off.

Hey Chickie!

Today, I’m sharing two Easter-themed CAS cards made with Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts and stamped sentiment. For both cards (same design, different colors), I die cut the eggs with the More Than Jellybeans Confetti Cuts set and nestled them into the Easter basket (cut on my Silhouette). The sentiment from Carton Cuties was stamped onto a partially cut banner from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts set.

EasterBasket

For the first card I used a patterned paper background to add variety and cut the eggs from matching cardstock colors.

For the second card, I used the smooshing ink technique to create marble-colored eggs.

EasterBasket2

I dry-embossed the background to give some texture to the card. Because the basket was white, I heat-embossed the sentiment on colored cardstock.
