Holiday Cheer!

This is a “just because” card. I’ve been wanting to give the Paper Smooches “Hot Concoctions” stamp set a try for awhile.

Paper Smooches Holiday Cheer

Given the holiday season, I thought a peppermint stick would be a fun addition. Initially I had the top of the cup, what would be the beverage, stamped on kraft cardstock. But the kraft just wasn’t working with the other colors. The bright turquoise and red of the My Mind’s Eye “Winter Wonderland” papers make me happy!

Supplies: Neat and Tangled Home Sweet Home (candy cane); Spellbinders die

Day Six of the 12 Tags of Christmas

I’m back sharing another tag for the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist Challenge at Ellen Hutson‘s. This one was inspired by the Day Six tag by Teri Anderson. I had some fits and starts with this – I had the tag assembled and then after photographing it, I took it apart and made some adjustments. Rather than make twine trees, like Teri did, I used two different Paper Smooches stamps on patterned paper. I added a few pearls to the trees as well. I used the “Warm Wishes” sentiment from the Studio Calico/Hero Arts “Spread Joy” set. This has been one of my favorite sentiment stamps this season.

Greetings from the South Pole

A “just because” card combining stamped images from several Paper Smooches sets. After posting my cards for the Winter Groves set, I began to think about a card featuring penguins at the South Pole.  Here’s the result of that brainstorming. 🙂

Something Special to Share – and a Giveaway

Paper Smooches released their newest Kismet stamp set called Winter Groves on November 15th and I am here today to help promote this sweet set! You will find the new stamp set HERE.

Honestly, I could have created many more cards with this set – for this post, I’m sharing three. I love the set’s holiday-ish feel with an emphasis on the season of winter. I used non-traditional holiday colors for my cards to explore that winter feel.

First up is the adorable penguin and his igloo!

For my next card, the snowman went ice fishing, using the pole and fish from the Paper Smooches “My Guy” set.

For my final card, I played with the idea of the “Partridge in a Pear Tree” theme. I imagined a bare tree lit by a string of lights with a bokeh-effect.
