  • With the Paper Smooches Flowers 2 die set, I cut the flowers and centers from SU Smoky Slate and white cardstock. I cut the leaves from SU Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
  • I adhered the centers to the blooms and the blooms and leaves to the FSJ Oatmeal Cookie rectangle panel with dot adhesive.
  • I heat-embossed the Lovely Thoughts sentiment on SU Gorgeous Grape cardstock and cut it with a circle die. I used a slightly larger die to cut a mat in white cardstock.
  • With the sentiment circle and blooms adhered to the card, I felt the card needed something more. I added 4mm clear droplets for texture and additional visual interest.
  • I added the assembled panel to a card base with a linen texture.

Paper Smooches Mason Jar Bouquet

Hello! Today I am sharing a Mason Jar bouquet created with a combination of Paper Smooches products. I recently purchased the Mason Jar die set; it has been on my list for a long time!

Here are the steps I took when I made this card, along with commentary:

  • I stamped the Botanical stems/floral sprays in Fizz and Aquamarine on patterned paper. I’m a big fan of orange and teal together.
  • I cut and assembled the Mason Jar. I’m all in on die cuts of any kind!
  • I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine black in on patterned paper and adhered the patterned paper pieces together. I really like the orange and white gingham paper.
  • I adhered the Mason Jar over the stamped floral pieces.
  • I die-cut flowers with the Flowers and Flowers 2 die sets from patterned paper. I added a white drop to their centers. The drop helped the flowers stand out.
  • When the flowers were dry, I attached them to the stamped stems/floral sprays with foam adhesive. Without the dimension from the foam adhesive, these flowers just blended into the stems/floral sprays.
  • I adhered a twine bow to the Mason Jar. This card needed texture and the twine gave it the right touch.

Paper Smooches – CAS Spring-themed Floral Bouquet

Hello! The sun is out here in the Pacific Northwest and the longer days are much appreciated. I am sharing a CAS spring-themed card featuring some favorite Paper Smooches dies – Dainty Flowers and Dainty Flowers 2.

  • I used one of the dies in the Lawn Fawn Rectangle set (3 1/2″ x 2 1/4″) to cut the panel behind the flowers  from TE Confetti Cake cardstock.
  • The sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Carton Cuties stamp set was heat-embossed on Gina K Lagoon Blue cardtock (Gina K Autumn Rainbow pack) and cut with a Lawn Fawn banner die.
  • The flowers were cut from white cardstock, as well as, SU Pineapple Punch, SU Poppy Parade, Gina K Lagoon Blue (Gina K Autumn Rainbow pack), and Gina K Lucky Clover (2018 Add-On Collection). I attached the assembled flowers to the rectangle background and covered the bottoms of the stems with the sentiment banner.
  • I dry-embossed the white card base with the SU Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.Paper Smooches - CAS Spring-themed Floral Bouquet

Paper Smooches Leprechaun

Hello! It’s hard to believe that March is just around the corner. I don’t have many occasions to make St. Patrick’s Day cards, but I couldn’t resist making one with a much-loved Paper Smooches stamp set A Magical Spring.

Paper Smooches Leprechaun

I paper pieced the leprechaun image with solid and patterned paper. It took some time, but I especially like the technique for the Paper Smooches images. I used a now-retired MFT Stamps die to create the frame on which I stamped the sentiment.  I added clovers cut with a Taylored Expressions die set.

Paper Smooches – Spring is in the Air

Hello! Today, I am sharing a spring-themed card featuring Paper Smooches stamps and dies (one of the first companies whose products I bought when I started cardmaking). It’s not yet spring here in the PNW but that doesn’t mean I’m not looking ahead with hope.
