Cardmaking and Scrapbooking with Jean Manis
I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #127 – another terrific and versatile sketch!
Here’s my take on the sketch:
I used Reverse Confetti’s Peacock Pretties to create a tone-on-tone pattern on blue and gray cardstock, which I the cut into squares with a Nestabilities die. I cut two anchors (for additional depth) with the Paper Smooches die. (I have several anchor dies; this one was the perfect size.) The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up’s Simply Wonderful set.
Today, I’m sharing a card based on one shown by Jennifer Rzasa in the Online Card Classes Stretch Your Dies class. The idea of today’s class is to use smaller dies effectively on a card.
I cut the balloons and heart from Ranger watercolor paper colored with Distress Inks. This is definitely a technique I’ll be using again! These colors make me happy.

Today, I’m playing along with Mojo Monday 378 and ColourQ 273. I like that tropical-feeling color combo so much, I had to play along again!
The card width is around 4″ and it’s a tad taller than 6″. I almost always make tent-fold cards, but I wasn’t able to for this card due to its height. I used the Paper Smooches Flower Dies and a Stampin’ Up sentiment stamp. The Poppy Parade banner was stamped with a Stampin’ Up background stamp for tone-on-tone texture.
I’m delighted to be guest designing over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge today! The challenge? Use Neon Colors on your Christmas card.
For my card, I pulled out a Hero Arts Neon ink sampler and all of my snowflake stamps testing several combinations. I combined stamps from an old Hero Arts set as well as a Paper Smooches set.
To finish, I dry embossed the card base and added a few snowflake sequins.
