Let It Snow

I’ve had these penguins and snow banks on my work table for several months! We’ve had a particularly chilly couple of days, so I thought it was time to put this card together.

Penguins
I had been playing around with different backgrounds, and the Taylored Expressions embossing folder gives just the right scale snowfall for the rest of the scene. I dry embossed the cardstock with my Big Shot  extended multipurpose platform on Tab 1. This gave just a bit more depth to the embossing. I cut the penguins twice and adhered them together for extra depth. The front two penguins and front two snowbanks are attached with dimensional adhesive as well.

Stamp Nation Beach Vacation Blog Hop

We’re kicking off the StampNation Summer Beach Vacation event today with a Blog Hop.  Each of the StampNation Dream Team members, along with a group of Guest Designers (of which I’m thrilled to be included) are hopping along sharing cards inspired by our first challenge — “Beach Style”!

To me, “Beach Style” starts with flip flops (and bright colors) — here’s my card inspired by this challenge theme.

SNBeachVacationDay1-JMLife is better in flip flops! I stamped and die cut the flip flops using the Papertrey Ink Flipping Out Stamp and Die Set. The beach and waves were cut out of a variety of cardstock colors with the Reverse Confetti Doin’ The Wave Confetti Cuts die. I cut the wavy lines with a Spellbinders rectangle die and attached it to a card base onto which I’d stamped the sentiment with VersaFine ink.

It’s time to hop along now.

For the prizes, one winner will be randomly drawn from all the blog hop comments. A second winner will be chosen from all the challenge entries at StampNation!

You will have until 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, July 27th to leave a comment. Winners will be chosen randomly and will be announced on Monday, July 28th on Catherine’s blog.
