Countdown to Confetti

It’s Countdown to Confetti time – I’m pleased to introduce Quirky Cutie Marley Moose!

I Copic-colored Marley, keeping with a traditional holiday color combination. I scattered some Let It Snow die cuts as well. These are the perfect accent for holiday and winter-themed projects!

Additional Supplies: Reverse Confetti Tag Me die set

Stamp Nation Beach Vacation Blog Hop

We’re kicking off the StampNation Summer Beach Vacation event today with a Blog Hop.  Each of the StampNation Dream Team members, along with a group of Guest Designers (of which I’m thrilled to be included) are hopping along sharing cards inspired by our first challenge — “Beach Style”!

To me, “Beach Style” starts with flip flops (and bright colors) — here’s my card inspired by this challenge theme.

Stamp Nation Beach Vacation Blog Hop

Life is better in flip flops! I stamped and die cut the flip flops using the Papertrey Ink Flipping Out Stamp and Die Set. The beach and waves were cut out of a variety of cardstock colors with the Reverse Confetti Doin’ The Wave Confetti Cuts die. I cut the wavy lines with a Spellbinders rectangle die and attached it to a card base onto which I’d stamped the sentiment with VersaFine ink.

It’s time to hop along now.

For the prizes, one winner will be randomly drawn from all the blog hop comments. A second winner will be chosen from all the challenge entries at StampNation!

Sweet Birthday Wishes – This is the Life!

It’s a lovely summer day in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, we’re calling it hot, which is a rare thing indeed in these parts! I’m sharing a summer-themed card combining the Frozen Treats die with a Reverse Confetti die and sentiment.

Sweet Birthday Wishes - This is the Life!

I’m definitely drawn towards brighter colors when it’s sunny outside. I cut four colors of cardstock with the Frozen Treats die and pieced them together. I stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti’s Sweet Thing stamp set and cut it with the Reverse Confetti Tag Me die. The background is dry embossed with the Simon Says Stamp Ring Cluster stencil.

Nautical Sampler

I’m nuts about all things nautical, for reasons I don’t even understand as I didn’t grow up anywhere near the ocean! At any rate, I’m loving the current nautical trend!

To get familiar with the Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor set I decided to create a sampler with the images. I tried a lot of different inks on the stamps, finding that I liked the way that the Memento inks stamped, as well as the Fresh Inks, sold by Impress. And inevitably this process led to adding inks to my wish list!
