Simon Says Stamp – Die-cut Valentine

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS die-cut Valentine featuring the Simon Says Stamp Coffee Love die. With snow and cold temperatures blanketing a lot of the country, a warm cup of coffee (or cocoa) seemed appropriate!

I cut a variety of cardstock colors with Coffee Love die and pieced them together. I added a sentiment cut with the On Edge Love You die, which I tucked behind a snowbank cut with one of the Drifting Stitches Borders dies. I cut hearts with the Heart Sprinkle Trail from the light-blue background allowing the card base to show through.

Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Gorillas Valentine

Hello! I am sharing a second CAS Valentine card created with the Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Gorilla die as part of their Friends release!

SSS Picture Book Gorillas

I had used imaginary colors for the gorilla on my first card. This time I tried to be more realistic. I cut a number of cardstock colors, including black and a range of grays, before deciding on this combination of a light gray and dark gray. I heat-embossed a sentiment from the All My Love set and cut the red cardstock panel with an arch die. I was inspired by the way Laura Bassen added the sentiment to her adorable card. I finished the card with Lawn Fawn twine for a little color and texture.

I can’t wait to use this Gorilla on a birthday card!

I paired the gorilla, which was cut from cardstock colored with Distress Inks, with a sentiment from the All My Love set. For the background, I added embossing paste to Fog cardstock with the Large Falling Hearts stencil.

I finished the card with twine for a little color and texture.

Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2017

Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2017Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be sharing two CAS cards created with the Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Secret Penguin die as part of their DieCember release!

My first card features a trio of penguins in a winter scene.

I cut the penguins from black, white and orange cardstock. I added embossing paste to the sky with the Falling Snow stencil. While that dried, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the On A String stamp set with silver embossing powder on white cardstock, which I cut with one of the Drifting Stitches Borders dies. I used the other die in the Drifting Stitches Borders set to cut a hill from medium-blue cardstock.

I couldn’t resist creating a Valentine’s Day card with the Picture Book Secret Penguin.

As I did with the winter-themed card, I cut the penguin from black, white and orange cardstock. I also created snow hills with the Drifting Stitches Borders dies. I added a sentiment cut with the On Edge Love You die and tucked it between the snow banks. Finally, I cut the hearts with the Heart Sprinkle Trail from the light-blue background, adding red cardstock behind.

May the Christmas Season Bring You Peace

Hello! Today, I’m sharing another CAS holiday card created with the Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Greetings stamp set. Several weeks ago, I shared four cards created with the stamp set that you can see here.

On this card, I combined a die-cut dove (Penny Black’s 51-070 The Gift), cut from gold foil, with the gold, heat-embossed, upper-case PEACE sentiment. I heat-embossed the smaller sentiment white on red cardstock and cut it with a small banner die. The patterned paper background is from an American Crafts pad released last year or the year before.
