Penny Black Simplicity Halloween Mice

On Tuesday, I had a card on the Penny Black Simplicity site featuring one of the darling images from the 30-318 Bewitched set, which I colored with watercolor pencils. I decided to play with the image some more to practice coloring with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens, which I’ve recently purchased.

Penny Black Simplicity Halloween Mice

I stamped the image of the mice on a broomstick from the 30-318 Bewitched set on Strathmore watercolor paper, which I cut with one of the dies in the 51-007 Tagged set after I’d colored it with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I added a heat-embossed sentiment from the 30-249 Spooky Spheres set, cut with a die from the 51-003 Chat Bubbles set. While hard to see, the card base has been dry-embossed with the 25-010 Zigs & Zags stencil.

CAS Halloween with Penny Black

I’m sharing another CAS Halloween card. This one is created with the Penny Black 51-077 Eeek! die.

HalloweenBOO

I cut the BOO (Penny Black 51-077 Eeek!) multiple times from black cardstock and  a couple of times from green cardstock. Each BOO is double thick. I also cut the sentiment from white cardstock for the insides of the “o” letters and added black circles cut with a hole punch.

ColourQ CAS Halloween with Penny Black

I’m playing along with ColourQ #311 using Penny Black stamps and dies. Here’s my take on the challenge colors with a CAS Halloween card:

ColourQCASBoo

I cut the BOO (Penny Black 51-077 Eeek!) and haunted house (Penny Black 51-073 Haunted Hollow) from black cardstock, twice each for extra depth. I backed the house with the Wisteria Wonder cardstock. The moon was cut from Kiwi Kiss and the rectangle from Tangerine Tango. I stamped a sentiment from Penny Black 30-185 Halloween Critters in Versafine ink on the card base (the font has a scribble that adds a bit of spooky!).

Penny Black Simplicity – Vintage Birdcages

Today, I’m sharing a “just because” card featuring the Penny Black #51-141 Vintage Birdcages die cut set.

SweetBirdCages

To begin, I watercolored swatches for the birdcages using Distress Inks. While the swatches dried,  I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink through one of the patterns on the #25-014 Oscillations stencil on to white cardstock for a subtle background. I stamped a sentiment from the #30-297 Sprinkles and Smiles set onto the panel. I cut the birdcages with the #51-141 Vintage Birdcages from the watercolored paper and from white cardstock. I adhered the two together for extra depth and adhered them to the white card panel. As a final touch I added a bird cut with the #51-094 Tweets set.

Penny Black Simplicity – Make a Wish!

Today, I’m sharing a bold birthday card combining several Penny Black stamp sets.

MakeAWish

To begin, I stamped the background stamp #40-144 Dots in Space onto red cardstock with red ink for a tone-on-tone background. I cut the panel with a rectangular die and circle die (for the window). I stamped images from #30-280 A Sweet Day directly onto the card base, using the red panel as my guide. I stamped the hat first and masked it before stamping the stars. I added the sentiment from #30-280 A Sweet Day with black ink. The red panel was attached to the card base with dimensional adhesive.
