Conversation Birds

Today, I’m sharing a CAS Valentine’s Day card created with Penny Black stamps and die cuts.

ConversationBirds

I used the Penny Black 30-207 From the Heart set for the heat-embossed sentiments, 51-094 Tweets die set for the birds and two of the 50-003 Chat Bubbles dies.

I’m playing along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #255.

Colour Me #56 Playful

Today, I’m sharing a card made for the Colour Me Challenge with Penny Black supplies.

I went back and forth on the colors, trying to decided which element should be which color, especially the yellow and orange. Although the elements are well-suited for Valentine’s Day, they’d work for any season! In this case I was thinking about spring.

I used Penny Black’s 51-100 Tree of Love as a branch on which to place the bird, cut with the 51-094 Tweets die. The frame was created with the 51-057 Polaroid die onto which I heat embossed a sentiment from 30-269 So Very Much.

Penny Black Simplicity – Love Balloons

Today, I’m sharing a Valentine’s card created with two Penny Black dies – 51-052 texting and 51-004 uplifting.

I cut various shades of pink and red cardstock with the heart die from the 51-004 uplifting set. I cut white cardstock with the love die, in the 51-052 texting set, twice. I attached white thread to the back of the heart die cuts with double-sided tape, leaving the covering on the top until I had the die cuts laid out on the panel in the desired design. Hearts on the top of a cluster were attached with dimensional adhesive for depth. When the hearts had been attached, I gathered the thread and bundled them with another thread. I glued the bundle together with Glossy Accents. Once dry, I attached the love sentiment over the knot and thread bundle.

Penny Black Hooray Skyline

Today I’m sharing a card made entirely with Penny Black dies that would be appropriate to celebrate a variety of events such as a birthday or a promotion.

For the background, I made a stencil with the smaller cloud in the Penny Black 51-033 Silver Linings set. I used a sponge dauber to apply white pigment ink through the stencil onto blue cardstock.

I created the skyline with the 51-017 Downtown die. I backed the die cut with white cardstock.

I cut the balloons with the Penny Black 51-004 Uplifting die set. I cut each color twice (for extra depth) and attached thread to their backs. I taped the threads to the blue panel and then attached the skyline over them.

I cut the sentiment twice using 51-038 Hooray. After adhering the sentiment to the skyline, I added some Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer.

Penny Black Simplicity – CAS Holiday Card

Using just two elements, a Creative Die and a transparent stamp set, I created a CAS card for the newly launched Penny Black SIMPLICITY at its best site.
